I was wait listed as well, but got my acceptance letter last week for ammerman evening. They are now sending acceptance letters off the wait list- good luck all!! Don't give up, I have been applying for 2 years with rejections, then wait listed.

Hi Jental, congrats! Did admin call you prior before you received the letter?

Thank you! They actually didn't call me...the last I heard was the letter that I was wait listed...the a month later, came the big white envelope .

Does anyone know why we are apparently mandated to purchase ATI by our TEAS exam date? Is there some consequence for not buying it before the date or is it more of a strong recommendation?

Because once you purchase ATI then that is where you access the teas test when you go in and take it... It's a computer base test

Hi I am new to this forum and am hoping you guys can help me. I have taken a&p1 but got a c+, psyc c+ (taken like 7 years ago freshamn year) and eng101 b. I am registered to take a&p2 this upcoming semester. I also registered again for a&P1 to take over for a better grade and psyc in the summer to get a better grade. Do you think i should def take them again? I want to make sure I get a better chance of getting in to the program? I already have a bachelors in business and am just worried about spending more money out of pocket? Any comments or thoughts would help!

-as far as I know the suffolk program looks for a gpa with a 3.6 or higher in the pre req courses required (eng, psych, A&P 1&2) I was accepted to the program with an overall 3.6 in these courses but I also took microbiology (which they claim helps in "breaking ties" ) my grades were psych- A eng- A A&P 1- C+ A&P 2- A.... I would definitely re take classes so that you have at least a 3.5 or better .... Hope this helps !

Hi Mal! Welcome!

I was just accepted into the Ammerman Evening and my grades were as follows: Psych 101- A, socio 101- A, a&p 1- B+ and a&p 2- C+, english 101- A. I did not take microbiology, as I was a liberal arts major previously, and maxed out the allowed science classes for financial aid to cover it. I also did write an essay letter on my own as to why I want to be a nurse, although this is not required. I applied twice previously and was denied, so not sure if it was because the pool for those years, or the essay. But just a suggestion to consider and good luck!

Is the wait over for us in the wait list? Its almost July and I still havent heard from sccc. Are we going to be notified either way?

Nope. Girl in my summer class was on the wait list for Ammerman Day and just got accepted. They sent out acceptance to 5 other people with her, only 2 accepted. Still 4 spots open in Ammerman Day (via stalking class registration). Got in touch with Admissions who said wait list will be active through August. Patiently waiting... I'd gladly take one of those 4 spots I'd be there instantly with a deposit lol
