SCCC Fall 2014 - Suffolk

Im losing my mind! Here is my story: I got rejected for Fall 2014 and I was giving up from Nursing. My grades are:

A&P 1 - A

A&P 2 - C+ (already took it twice)

PSY - B+

ENG - B

MICRO - B

I did not have Micro when I got rejected. But I heard from a lot of people that I would never be able to get in with my C+, and as I took it twice already I cant take it anymore. I started losing my mind trying to figure what to to do, change my major for what, etc. But then I just read here that some people got into the program with C+. Can someone give me some advice, help, anything? haha I am already 30 years old and I really wanted to get into Nursing :/

Just keep trying until you succeed, otherwise all that you worked hard for will go to waste. I know time is golden... Explore what other options you may have. Good luck :)

Nope. Girl in my summer class was on the wait list for Ammerman Day and just got accepted. They sent out acceptance to 5 other people with her, only 2 accepted. Still 4 spots open in Ammerman Day (via stalking class registration). Got in touch with Admissions who said wait list will be active through August. Patiently waiting... I'd gladly take one of those 4 spots I'd be there instantly with a deposit lol

Im slowly losing hope...

I also had a C+ in A&P 2. I applied 3 times and was rejected. Well 4th time was a charm- I was accepted into the Fall 2014 semester! With the C+. I also wrote an essay as to why I want to become a nurse- not sure if it helped, as SCCC does not require an essay, but maybe it was not a coincidence I got in after being rejected 3 times. Just keep reapplying over and over again. Never give up. I'm glad I didn't! Best of luck to you! P.S- I'm 32 years old...so I completely can sympathize with how you feel!

UPDATE: They just called me this morning to accept me. Last minute, but that's better than nothing ! Going to have to scramble to get everything together lol. There's still time !

Both but my first choice is Ammerman, did they call you back when you missed their call?

I know someone that was on the wait list, they called her and she missed the call... She email the lady and she reply back saying she been accepted...
