Hello!

Haven't seen a thread for Sac City's Fall 2020/Spring 2021 nursing application yet and thought I should create one. Good luck everyone! ?

Just dropped mine off at SCC and was #218.

WOW!! Those application numbers have literally jumped so much in a week! I am shocked! I wonder if it’s always like this

Oh my goodness. I wonder how bad arc is now ugh. So much work for them to go through all those applications just to pick a tiny amount of people ?

My friend is dropping off her app to SCC later today. I'll keep you all updated.

I'm not sure why I am so obsessed with numbers. I can't wait until all of this over because my anxiety is through the roof. LOL

I was thinking the same! I expected maybe 150-175 for SCC, but now more like 250 I'm thinking?

Thanks, scorpiodez! I'm feeling the same way! I'm like OK tomorrow is the closing date and then we literally just wait. And wait. LOL

WOW!! Bigger numbers than last year for SCC! I applied to ARC and SCC last year (2019) and turned in my application one day before the deadline. I was 145 at SCC and 283 at ARC on February 27th in the morning, keeping in mind these numbers may or may not be considering mailed in applications.

I’m so hopeful to get in this time. I started applying to schools almost 3 years ago. I’ve had 6 rejections. Granted, my first year and a half (3 applications) I applied to just one competitive school in southern California that was point based, and I had a weak application at the time. I’ve since moved up north and applied to SCC and ARC (twice) last year to account for the other 3 apps. This year I was able to apply to Sierra College too. Trying not to worry while we wait for results! Praying my rejection count doesn’t rise to 9 in a couple weeks or months! LOL

I hope you get in! Were you waitlisted at all last year or just not selected? I hope to be at least waitlisted to give me some glimmer of hope. LOL

Guys... I’m even having dreams about this. I wonder what the final number of apps was ? everyone be sure to vote yes on measure E so they can give more funds and hopefully open more nursing student spots. I read somewhere that they might be able to increase to 100 spots at scc and arc with the extra money. Not sure if it’s true but it is for 650 million dollars so it’s possible!

I need to read my ballots I have not opened them yet! So consumed with school and applying! But I agree if that is where the funding is going! So anxious! Come on April come fast!

I wasn’t chosen as an alternate or anything either. Qualified every time, but not accepted. It’s a brutal wait. I can’t plan too far ahead for some things because “if I’m in school” haha. I even recently had to pick a wedding date for next year and we were a limited on dates so that it doesn’t potentially interfere with nursing school! We have to stay determined and keep pushing for it, though every rejection stings. We will all make it at some point! Right..? Haha
