Hello to everyone..Can I ask anyone who is working with MOH saudi Arabia? Can I ask if they are offering a 1 year contract? Can you give me also an idea regarding their exam? Thank you in advance. Godbless!
Wow Medic28, you actually did good in your interview? on thursday all 12 of us were stunned with the type of questions and type of interview they did. I think most of us did a lot of mistakes, did they give you an offer? I think all of us were told that they'll call us next week if they are interested or not. Do you have more information regarding the hiring? like how many of us they accepted and the salary offers? That american almost made cry hahaha

i also had my interview last thursday. i am not sure if i have passed or not. i guess i also share the same sentiments as that of my other co applicants. pls update me whether they will call or txt u next week if we passed or failed. ok?
uhhhmmm... but just a thought.,
i really hope they will already hire all of those included in the short list that they have... i can't see how they will be able to complete the 200-300 nurse/paramedic slots they need if every day of the entire interview week that they conducted, they cut the applicants into almost half.
I hope so, though I think I did manage to go through the interview smoothly. The problem was they (the foreign employers) are really looking for EMT's and paramedics, but I don't know why the Filipino recruiters are looking for Nurses and not emphasizing that they must have experience as medics in the field. I think that is the reason why many of the applicants are surprised with the questions/scenarios given to them. To tell you the truth, those(the scenarios/questions given) were almost exactly how a skill station test (much like a return demonstration in nursing class)is done back in our EMT class.
You mentioned that there were 12 of you, I assume you were selected from a bigger group right? When i got interviewed, there were 5 of us who was called from a bigger group (around 20-30 pax) and we were interviewed ahead of the others.
That's what they told me also, that I just wait for a call next week. They didn't mention anything about the offer or the number of applicants they need. But based form the ads, they need 300 medics/nurses if I'm not mistaken. And I think need more because they said they will be coming back after 6 mos. for another recruitment.
Haha! the American asked me to intubate! waah! He asked me if I have intubated on a patient before. I said no, only on a manequin. But he insisted, he said he only wanted to see if I really know how to do it, he even assisted me. hehe!
Good luck to all of us who applied, keep me posted :-)
Went to my EMT school this week, informed our training director about my application at SRCA. They did not encourage me to apply there coz they said the offer is not good. P38K? They said that we deserve more than that especially those who have dual qualifications. They did give inform me about another job opening to apply w/c has a better offer and not in KSA.
hi medic28! im interested with your emt school. could you please give me their name and location, the fee and how long will be the emt classes?
also, is it still advisable to enroll myself for emt courses even though i already have acls certificate and im currently a volunteer nurse assigned in the ER here in our provincial hospital? TIA! :)
At first around 40 to 50 applicants, 12 of us they said fitted they're requirements. Then when the interview started all hell broke loose hahaha What puzzles me also is that they did not post earlier that they only wanted applicants with acls, sme came from davao and bacolod they were sent home. Keep me posted amigo tnx
EMT and nursing are two different professions. EMT's take ACLS course also. Our EMT school also offers ACLS. BUt they they do not allow EMT-B's to take it, they're requirement is you must have reached at least up to the EMT-D level, but if you're an RN, you can have the ACLS even though your just an EMT-B.
You can find infos about the school on this link https://allnurses.com/philippine-nursing-forum/emt-courses-408273.html
it's a bit pricey though. also try visiting http://www.psemt.org , the infos are not that sufficient on that site but at least you'll find their telephone number there.

Maybe POEA misinterpreted the requirements/qualification given by SRCA. tsk-tsk! it's such a burden for the applicants. Most ofthe applicants from our batch were also from places outside Metro Manila.
Do you have any idea what day they'll contact us? Were you been told that they'll contact us only if we are accepted or we will also be notified if we didn't make it? \
fingers crossed...

No. those who were told to go home were advised to have their ACLS and follow-up after 6 months because the employers will be coming back for another recruitment. they were told that they will be notified when the employers are here again. Definitely you need to have an experience because they won't accept your application if you don't have it on the first place.
I think most of the applicants I met there do not have the right idea about the
position they are applying.
And I asked the American interviewer whta level will I be functioning when we get there and I was surprised that he said that we will function as a Paramedic (EMT-P level) and will respond to a lot of trauma cases such as car accidents and we will be on our own. :grn:
