Happy birthday Dianah!

Ado I hope you're feeling less stressed

Stars hopefully this irritability prove to be a passing thing

Was a productive day yesterday.  Got out for bird watching, saw two type of ducks I don't normally see.  Went to the library and signed up for the cookbook book club, was going to wait until next month but there's no meeting then, as the library is changing locations.  So I'll make something for next week's meeting. Found out next Sat there is a bird watching even on Stitch so I think I'll sign up for that.  Checked out a local park that is suppose to have regular pickleball games but no one was there.  Perhaps the information is out to date

Today going to get some more bird watching in, although fairly briefly as the rest of the day will be busy.  Have to make sure I get the cat's meds from the vet, then drive my dad and myself to Indiana for my niece's musical.  We're going to leave earlier than planned so we can meet my sister and BIL for lunch beforehand.  Thankfully the musical is in the afternoon so we will get home at a reasonable hour

Going to be a bit warmer out today, up to the upper 50s, no rain expected

Skipping Svengoolie again as I think I've seen tonight's movie and it's dull.  Will begin watching the opera Der Rosenkavalier instead.

Good morning!

Happy Birthday Dianah!

Dementia is a tiring and challenging thing.

I stayed late updating the charge report for the day charge today since they had no night shift charge due to a call out.  She said she can't find it.   I was so tired I probably updated it and threw it in the shredder.

I admitted what turned out to be an old acquaintance from years ago.  It was a bit awkward.  I was a bit surprised to see he was 80 years old.  Time sure has flown by.  He says he follows me on Instagram and likes my cooking.  He said I haven't aged a bit since he last saw me years ago.   LOL.

Off for four days now.  I'm in a bit of a funk and hope to lift myself up.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

Got up ... reluctantly, again. Got Nannie up and had her on the toilet when SiL arrived. Finished dressing her and SiL had her brush her teeth, then brought her out to the recliner for breakfast and meds.

BiL arrived and has been trimming low branches off some of the trees, and I've dragged many branches over to the woods. I saw a lot of fire ant dirt hills and went around dousing them with the powdered fire ant killer. It ran out before I got all the ant-hills covered, so I reckon I'll go out to get some more....or I'll wait until tomorrow to do that; you know how I am.... 🙃

SiL is on the riding mower, getting the lawn taken care of. I came in because I was HOT. It is already in the mid-70's and yes, indeedy, the sun SURE IS BRIGHT!

Not sure what is in the containers SiL brought over and put in the fridge, but it is sure to be something for supper and/or dessert.

Both Nannie and I are in a better mood today....so far!

Guess I'll go upstairs to, well, maybe thin out the magazine and catalog pile to put them in the recycling after I remove my name and address on them. I'll see what other things I can throw out or put in the donation pile. I just can't believe all the STUFF I still have! I wish I could do how Samantha did in Bewitched; wiggle my nose, nod my head and BINGO....neat and clean! Oh well. I wish a LOT of things, don't I !

So stop with the chatter, Stars, and DO something!

Hi. The sun is out and the temp is 63, woo hoo. Our lawn is just starting to grow, so there is nothing to mow, just now. I've been raking up all the twigs that fall out of the trees. The garden waste tote is full, which is putting a damper on cleanup as there is no place to put the refuse. I used to toss it over the fence, but the newish neighbors have cleaned out the brush, and their chicken pen is there now. They escaped the other day and dh rounded them up and put them back. They like to go into our garage when the big door is open, in search of the bird food. They are pretty easy to coax back to their pen, I just toss bird seed on the ground to lead them into their pen. The daughter is responsible for feeding them and doesn't always latch the door.

I've been watched a series on Netflix about the Innocence Project, a group of lawyers who work to exonerate the wrongly convicted. It amazes me how easily people get convicted on flimsy evidence.

Happy birthday, Dianah. I can picture you trying to fight a billowing skirt.

The birds around here are changing. Fewer swans visible in the fields, and I'm starting to hear more robins. I could hear the peepers (little frogs) singing last night.

Enjoy your musical, Joe.

I hope all the nannies and gmas, and hospital patients are behaving today.

Nannie and SiL and I sat outside on the white iron yard-chairs, placed now where those old rotten stairs USED TO BE.  It was very pleasant, well, except for Nannie bringing every single subject we talked about back to her purple shoes. SiL and I were rolling our eyes repeatedly. She kept lifting her feet up and saying, "See?" Yah, we see them! It is totally unbelievable how she is REALLY INTO those purple shoes! Even her father had some just like hers, she said! Didn't matter how many times or ways we tried to change the subject, it was, to Nannie, all about those purple shoes.....and shoes'n'shoe'n'shoes'n'shoes'n'shoes'n'shoes'n' SHOES!! .......🙄😕🙄YOWIE!

After SiL and BiL left, Nannie kept up a steady barrage of verbal salad which barely made any sense....I had brought out Momo to sit in my lap, but after 1/2 hour I noticed she was alarmed by all the bugs and birds flying around. When I brought her inside, Nannie followed me. Within 5 minutes of her being seated in her recliner, she was SOUND ASLEEP! So I wasn't the only one she wore out with her chatting.

And, by the way, she told me that earlier, SiL had been down in the woods picking up all the dead fish, so I sent SiL a text to thank her for that! The smell would've gotten unbearable if those dead fish had been out in the sun for too much longer!

FINALLY,  I DID IT !  I put away and hung up ALL the clean clothes in my room! It's about time!

I also did dishes.

Speaking of ants .... I found a pump-spray product with no odor, that is not harmful to people or pets...ZEVO is what it is called, for flies and ants and some other insect which I can not bring to mind at this time. "Kills On Contact" (or shortly after that).

It has been raining and cool (57 right now) all day. Gma was yelling first thing this morning because she wouldn't change her underpants. She couldn't understand how to do it herself and if Hubs tried to help she was sure she was being violated. We finally got it done but it was a battle. Can't just let her stay in wet things, though. The rest of the day has been uneventful for her.

Dory dog seems more anxious than usual. I noticed a hard lump under the skin near her jaw. Not that she doesn't have other bumps and lumps but it seemed to hurt when I checked this one out. One eye waters a lot lately. And she pooped in the house today which isn't common.

My laundry is clean but sitting unfolded on my bed. Which is risky because earlier today one of the cats puked on the bed, on a blanket we keep there so they don't get hair all over our bed. The 2 boy cats go there every morning after they eat.

I'm sure glad your SiL got all those dead fish picked up, Stars! 😉That could sure be smelly. I hate it when my yard is full of dead fish.
