... so anyway, I had been lurking in this forum for a while trying to learn all I could about how the nclex was scored, & here is what happened to me.
I tested yesterday afternoon, & right out of the gate, 2cond or 3rd question, I got a math question; after that, my next hit was a SATA. Overall, I got a total of only 6 SATAs & I got a whopping 4 or 5 math questions. One of the math questions was a ridiculously easy ratio & proportion question (ordered is x number of mg, nurse has a vial of so many ml w/ so many mg in it, how many ml does nurse draw up) that came somewhere in the middle of the test, making me think I am bombing real bad, because it's so easy. All the rest of the math is to the effect of: ordered is so many mcg/kg/min, on hand is so many mg in so many ml, so how many ml/hr? In between are mainly questions pertaining to meds that are basically, for me, sounding pretty obscure (making me think my best guess is not even an educated one) and priority questions where I really can't pick out a definitive priority one way or another. #75 is my 6th and last SATA (something about Addison's), & then the screen goes kerplewy, & I am positive I bombed, & not only that, getting 75 questions was only a gift they were required to give me because I bombed so bad.
But, unless the state BON screwed up, & they are going to recant it next week, they are showing my active RN number on their web-site today. So I am surprised, because I was positive that I failed, & failed rather badly at that, but I would have to say that what Suzanne has been typing must be absolutely correct, & this tale reinforces it.
(Unless, of course, the BON changes their mind next week.)

Yes, I got home from work, glumly went to 'Pearsonvue' & noted my results were not available. Then I halfheartedly went to the BON site to check on my TPA & read that it said "null & void." At that point I was positive I was going to have to figure out what my 'plan B' was, but I punched in the stuff to check on my rn license anyway, & there it was--"active!"
So, yes, I was surprised that A) I passed, & B) they posted it so quickly, & yes, that was nice! I would suspect that they don't post on Saturdays, but I may be wrong about that also.
