Hello all!
I am applying for the Fall 2018 ADN program at SRjc - I'm just wondering if anyone else here has applied and what your stats were when you applied?
Looking forward to hearing from you guys!
I don't think knowing anyone's "stats" helps in anyway. As long as you make the chancellors formula that's all that matters. If you have a 3.0 overall gpa or a 4.0 gpa the odds of being picked are the same for either.Yes, this is true. So definitely no stressing out or comparing stats! It doesn't matter. Comes down to a lottery. And yes we've all worked SOOO hard to get here! Good luck everyone. This is my 3rd year applying and I've applied to a total of 5 colleges a total of 8 times :/ Fingers crossed!
Hey NurseEmma13!
Fingers crossed prayers, and positives vibes your way! I applied to two colleges, Mendocino and SRJC. I received my rejection letter from mendo yesterday so I definitely can relate to the feeling of not getting in.
Ok first week of June good to know. Do you know if they batch out acceptance and rejection together? Or does acceptance get their letters first?
Thank you! That's very sweet! I need all the good vibes I can get! Yes, I got my rejection letter from Mendo yesterday too. So far for Fall 2018 I've been rejected by 4/5 programs I applied to (Mendo, SSU, SDSU and Sac State). I'm applying to Napa and Shasta College ADN programs for Spring 2019.
Not sure about how they send out admission notifications, I assume all together. I was an alternate the last 2 times and I'm pretty sure they notified everyone all at once.
Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the srjc program if anyone knows. Once you get accepted to the program, do you get to choose which semeter you will start? For instance, if you get accepted for the fall start, can you request to start on the spring semester? Also, do they make the students do anything over the semester breaks like book work etc.? Thanks
No you do not get to choose which semester you are placed in. However, if students drop from the Fall semester, then they give Spring semester students the option of starting in Fall before they move on to the alternate list. Not sure about work during semester break. I assume so. If there's a scheduled test a week after a break, then of course you'll want to keep studying during the break.

Just to clarify talking about gpa's and scores and stuff like that stresses me out, so I just dont, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If that's the direction this thread goes, then cool, if not cool too! 😎
On another note... Omgeeeeeerd June 1st !!!
I thought it was weird that SRJC had summer and fall registration at the same time. I had to hurry up and figure out what my back up plan classes were going to be. I feel torn because I have a couple GE classes I can take, and then there are some classes I can take so that I can apply to nursing schools out of state... my dilemma.
