Santa Rosa Junior College ADN Spring 2015

Published

Hi,

I thought I would start a thread for Santa Rosa Junior College's ADN program for Spring 2015. I am thinking of accepting my offer for this program. Is anyone else going to Santa Rosa for spring 2015? :) I would love to meet my future classmates!

Hello there. I am currently an LVN student trying to apply to the santa rosa jc lvn to adn program in spring semester 2015. When i called to inquired they told me to apply this september and that class starts in Jan 2015. is this true? did you find out whether or not you were accepted fast or did they take time to accept you? im hoping i get in and that they accept me fast.

Ae 1021 that's how Mendo works. I'm applying for my bridge with SRJC and Mendo and have been told you do your application as bridge in the fall and begin in the spring in a bridge/role transition class then do your full second year.

Specializes in LTC.

Also OP I have a classmate who begins with your class (she dropped LVN upon acceptance) she is awesome and smart, that's why I opened this thread.

I actually applied to the traditional ADN program in April and found out that I got in for spring in June. There's only one application period for the fall and spring cohort and that deadline was in April. You don't get to choose which cohort you start in; I think for those who have applied multiple times, if accepted they will get the fall start date. This was my first time applying for the program and I was lucky enough to get accepted for the spring. The start date for my cohort is January 12. I'm not sure how it works for the lvn to adn application and acceptance process.

The application period for the SRJC ADN program is Oct- Feb. Exact dates change each year but will be in Oct-Feb. I applied Oct 3rd and I heard back with everyone else the last day of May (early June for others). I am starting (Fall) next month, August 18. Check their Health Sciences page, it will give you all the same information I just did plus some. It also details LPN to ADN and so on.

Thank you so much everyone for your helpful information. I called SRJC and was told that they will be accepting applications in the month of September 1st-30th and that they will start classes in January. The lady i spoke with didnt have all the answers to my questions so she wasnt sure whether or not the class starting in January is for the LVN bridging students or not.

Does SRJC notify students via mail, or email or phone call whether or not you have been accepted?

They notify you via email. Each program is different. Did you look at the link I posted above your post? It has information on the LVN and LVN bridging programs. It can answer the questions the person on the phone could not answer. You do have to read through a lot of information. You will find the information under vocational nursing. There is also information about the LVN bridge under the ADN program.

I'd read the site because it has totally different application dates then you mentioned. This is for the LVN program not bridge. You have to be careful because not everyone who gives information is correct. I have received incorrect information more than once. Check the link I posted under Vocational Nursing it has all the information you need.

I really appreciate you posting that link Tsuki re: the santa rosa LVN-ADN ladder. It had a lot of information that I found very useful. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get accepted.

I am so glad ae1021! I know with so many restrictions and hearsay it can get confusing. I hope you get in! I start next month with the ADN program. I just need to get a few more items. If you need financial aid get it in early! I didn't do mine til late because I was originally in for Spring and waitlisted for Fall. I got in for Fall and now I am waiting for my $$. The course is very front loaded with 20 textbooks and lots of gear. Best of luck!

Congrats on getting in earlier for fall tsuki! I remember you saying that you were going to try and switch to the Fall Start date instead of spring since you were initially accepted into my class, which starts Spring 2015
