Anyone attending SB. i am interested inattending. The part time commitment is great and you still finishin one year. The program also includes your prereq's. I live in Washington,DC and want to know the cost of the program. They won't tell me over the phone, I guess its due to the competition, but i don't want to pay $200 plus for a plane ticket to find out that the price isn't right. So if you guys have any idea of the tution please reply or PM me. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know...there was one gal around here who attended there...I'll try to find her screen name and post it for you...

Okay...it's Winks_RN....you can try to find a post where she has replied and PM her to see if you can get your answer...

Good luck!!

I know I looked in to their respiratory tech program....it was THOUSANDS of dollars -- like $10,000+ year or something....way too high for my pocketbook...

I just interviewed at Sanford Brown the LPN program is $28,881 for 14 months, this included fees for books (and uniform, I think). I'm not sure what the bridge to RN costs because I left after hearing how much the LPN was. I imagine it's pretty steap as well. I suppose if you don't mind paying a lot of money and you want to start working as an LPN right away, it's seems like the school is pretty nice and the staff is willing to help you out with anything that you need. They have study help for their entrance exam, you are able to retake any of the classes after graduation for free (for a lifetime as refreshers), they help you find work for a lifetime even if you move, and at the end of the program they really make sure you don't have any questions and that you are prepared to go to work. But when you consider the price of going to community college and then going on to a university you could get your BSN for less than their LPN program.

Please proceed with caution. Sanford-Brown is a for-profit school, so the bottom line is that they are interested in money. When there are long wait lists at every nursing school in the United States, I would be extremely concerned about a school that does not have a wait list. Sometimes it's because of the cost, but sometimes not.

There are a few schools in St. Louis that a previous poster said would accept transfer credits from Sanford Brown, but many schools will not accept credits from Sanford Brown. Do your research before making a commitment to any school - ESPECIALLY if you are looking to relocate for it.

Best of luck!

Be extremely careful about this school. THEY MAY NOT BE ACCREDITED BY the North Central accreditation. What tham means is if you want to articulate to another college for degree completion in the future, MOST of your earned credits will probably NOT transfer.

I knew someone who graduated with Asso Degree and transferred to a BSN program. That college only accepted 4 credit hours. Whereas I transfered into the same school with all my 60 hours because I went to an accredited school

Additionally, it is extremely expensive. That money is going into a corporations pocket.

BE WISE.
