  9. I am and have been a diabetic for 9 years. Started as gestational and never went awy. Well my question is that I have this stuborn belly fat. I have excersised and it seems to go nowhere. I have tried Lipodissolve, the pain was so terrible that I will never do it again. I was wondering if there was anyone who has had lipo sucti0on as a diabetic. Or have any stories of the procedure done on diabetics. I am scared of the long healing process as a diabetic along with the fact that I heal up with keloids.
  10. congrats to you and good luck in becoming a nurse. Is the NOVA you are speaking about is that northern Virginia
  11. Let me tell you that once she excepted the keys and signed the book its on her. If you took or didn't take the narc she excepted the keys and now its her responsibility, not yours. Usuually the out goiing nurse will have the book and the incoming will have the pills to count. Depening on where you work the way its done varies. Where I work I count the cart by myself and so do the other nurses unless you don't know or trust the person. If for some reason the nurse forgot to sign for a narc you will just flag it for that nurse to sign. But I will tell you that you can not trust every nurse. Nurses are said to be the biggest drug abusers, because they have acess. Rule of thumb ALWAYS CYOA= cover your own A_ _ Do remeber in it all narcs are a federal offense. Remeber all the time, money and sacrafices you put into becoming a nurses and not let anyone jepordize your license.

  15. I am an ENT nurse. First this is a very common procedure in childdred with reccuring ear infections. My doctor places the tubes in about 15 minutes top. The entire procedure including anesthesia and awakening following the procedure is 45 minutes. He will need to be NPO at leat 6 hours prior to the surgery. NPO after midnight most doctors say. The line up for surgery usually goes in order by age. They don't want the babies to have to go to long without eating. The anethesist will be with your child from the moment they administer the anesthesia until they awaken. They are not allowed to leave until their gag reflex has returned (the child). This is usually an in and out procedure give or take maybe 4 hours caluclating in the wait time, processing, RX pick up, surgery, recovery time. Your child will go right back to normal activity the same day, as well as eating. He can not get his ear wet for at least 4 weeks. when he is bathe, put cotton in his ears. I f he swimm they will reccommend no swimming or placing ear plugs. He will havve a follow up visit in 4 weeks follwing surgery. He will be given ABT drops, please use all the drops. If he was havinng any speech difficuties having the tubes to aleeviate that the ENT will probally refer you to a SLPT
