  1. Is this DCCC a community college or a university? All schools tend to have different requirements, but there is a pretty big difference between those two degree paths. You should definitely contact the school, and get a list of the curriculum and pre-requisites. I would imagine that a list would be easy to obtain, since a lot of people need to know what to take, every school I am applying to has had the list on their website, and easy to find! Good luck to you!
  2. I just finished A&P I & II over the summer. My best advice to you: REPETITION! I would start at the top and work your way down, going over the bone's location, it's function(s), whether it's R or L, and then move on down to the next bone. Trying to distinguish right from left killed me every time, but my husband tells me that's par for the course, I get lost driving all the time, ha...Good luck to you!
  3. Thanks everyone for your advice! It's rough moving to a new place and trying to figure out reputations. I'll be applying to UMD (hoping to get Shady Grove - I live in Silver Spring), Hopkins, CUA, and Montgomery College. Wish me luck, and good luck to anyone else who is reading this and thinking about applying!
  4. I am looking to apply for a nursing program for Fall 2008. I am pretty new to the area, and still trying to find my way. I am currently looking at Montgomery College, Hopkins, CUA and UMD-Baltimore. I looked on nurses.com and they had a listing of a ton of schools for this area, but I hadn't heard of a lot of them. Any other suggestions/where you are enrolled or graduated from? I am terrified of not getting accepted into any of them :uhoh21:
  5. I'm going to be 28 in a couple of months, I don't think that's old! I was originally going to school for nursing (5 years ago) but then Sep. 11th happened, and long story short, I felt I needed to do something - so I joined the Air Force. Now I am out (yay!), married another CBRNE Airman, I have a decent job (which eats away at my soul a little bit everyday, I am not cut out for cubicles), and still going back to nursing, some dreams just don't die. Now lets just hope a school will let me in once I get my classes completed! Some of these pre-reqs are tough (especially summer classes - I only got a B in A&P I, I am very dissapointed in that)! Good luck to all of us!
  6. Just finishing up A&P I tonight, I have my finals...then off to start A&P II on Monday, what a summer! But the ridiculously fast pace makes it fly by! 2 tests a week for five weeks is enough to make me want a margarita tonight after finals! Phew! Good luck to everyone...this class is a toughie - but hopefully you only have to do it once!
