San Jose State University (SJSU) Fall 2024 BSN

Hi everyone! I'm applying for Fall 2024 and haven't seen a forum for it. I hope we can share information with each other and also share our stats!

My Stats:

Big 8 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 89.3 (2nd attempt)

Finished 3 Co-Reqs

200+ hours of hospital volunteering

Just wondering if I have a solid chance of getting admitted?

You still have a decent chance of getting in, I thought you pretty much needed a 4.0 and a 90+ TEAS to get in until I saw some current nursing students at SJSU tik toks where they were asking their classmates what they got in with. I was suprised when a lot of them said they only had a 3.6-3.8 GPA and a TEAS score of around an 85-89.

True. I've heard a lot of bad things about SJSU's nursing counselors saying that they're discouraging students from applying who don't have a straight A or a 90 and above TEAS score. IDK if that has changed

No sorry, I don't. I saw it a month or two ago and I also don't follow the person who posted it. Honestly it doesn't help to stress about your chances of getting accepted. Just try to forget about it and hopefully sometime in April youll get your accepted letter!

My GPA is 4.0 and TEAS is 97.0. I have also applied for a couple of Community college for programs. Besides cost, do you think about any competitive or academic advantage between SU and Community College programs.

Well you don't have to do any additional schooling if you go straight for your BSN, if cost is not an issue

You didn't apply to any others SU ?

I applied to SF and SJ state universities. Could not apply to Evergreen and EB. 😞

Why not ? You could have get in to EB with your stats

I know, I missed. I was very late on TEAS and transcripts.

On the SJSU website it says that decisions won't come out till late April.
