San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Updated:   Published

Hi All,

Anyone else apply for the SJVC program that starts April 2022? I applied, and had my interview a few days ago. Still waiting on the financial aid call, when I followed up they stated they were running behind on calling applicants. They won't notify anyone of their acceptance until the week of February 28th, that is if they are not running behind. I pray that one of the programs I applied for has a spot for me.

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but I just found out that I got into SJVC too! Does anyone know how many days a week we can expect to be in class or at clinicals?

Congrats @NatF93 ! I spoke to a friend that just graduated from their program in December, she said theory was Tuesday and Thursday and the clinical day was either Wednesday or Friday. So it is safe to say 3 days out of the week. I cant wait to meet you all ?

That's not bad! Did she like the program?

She loved the program, she praised the instructors. I completed their LVN program a long time ago, and the instructors were awesome!

OMG I got in! just got called

YAY!! Congrats @dansevran I'm so excited for you!!!

Congratulations to US! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Did anyone ask when the first day would be?  I assume April 5th.

It starts April 5th. Do you plan on working while in the program?

not my current job.  its like 50+ hours a week.  ill probably go back to dog training randomly to pay bills.

I'm undecided, not sure if I want to go down part time with my current job. I do have an interview with CRMC tomorrow morning, for a LVN position which offers 12 hour shifts. They have RN extern positions there, and they offer scholarships with a 2 year commitment. Don't know if I should get my foot in the door now, or wait until after our first term. decisions, decisions............
