  1. @NatF93 https://www.zappos.com/p/vans-era-classic-tumble-true-white/product/7226566/color/693946 They have some old school vans that are leather. and they are all non-slip due to the rubber bottom. I was unsure if it was a 100% leather top or a leather/canvas mix, but their website says all leather. worse comes to worse ill have to just go to a supply store and buy some
  2. I didn't see anything about covering tattoos I was going to ask on the 15th. I figure Ill just buy white underarmor unless they want me to wear a lab jacket 24/7
  3. I have zero experience. I just ask my nurse friend what brands he buys for work and he said Aviator is his go to and Dickies just lasts forever.
  4. I found the dickies brand on amazon for mens. I know Work World carries Dickies scrubs and have stores all over the valley, but I was thinking the same thing, as long as the color says "Caribbean blue" it can be any brand right? And I ordered all white leather shoes off zappos. They are laced vans so they should be OK, but the term "nurse type leather shoes" not sure what they mean by that.
  5. Im not getting loans. I've been saving up and since I have a bachelor's degree already I won't get any assistance from FAFSA. I would look into great lakes loans https://mygreatlakes.org/. I don't know if they do loan directly though
  6. not my current job. its like 50+ hours a week. ill probably go back to dog training randomly to pay bills.
  7. Did anyone ask when the first day would be? I assume April 5th.
  8. Nice Alonso. Amy, I saw in another forum for last year that they were saying the average was around 73/74 for the people getting in so you still have hope.
  9. Grats @Alonso2020! hopefully we all get good calls too. do you remember what your TEAS score was? that seems to be a deciding factor on most of the application scores I've seen
  10. Good luck! if they go alphabetical ill be stuck waiting until the end of the week almost LOL
  11. I don't know if you can apply for a loan yourself, but try to find a student loan that is serviced by the federal government (mine is through Great lakes) https://mygreatlakes.org/. the rates are lower and if they do any pauses in payments like mine during COVID, it would apply to yours as well. I don't know if private company loans have to listen to the federal government or anything if they change how loans work once you have one.
  12. Yes, but best way to think about it is after its done, if you making paying it off a priority with extra shifts and stuff it'll be easy. I saw around Fresno was even offering 10K bonus when hired, but im sure that's a minimum years employment agreement for that.
  13. You too! I definitely don't want to wait until all the other schools make decisions for November, just let me start in April!
