San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi All,

Anyone else apply for the SJVC program that starts April 2022? I applied, and had my interview a few days ago. Still waiting on the financial aid call, when I followed up they stated they were running behind on calling applicants. They won't notify anyone of their acceptance until the week of February 28th, that is if they are not running behind. I pray that one of the programs I applied for has a spot for me.

I applied for the bridge programs at west hills and COS, I’m just waiting to hear back. But if I’m accepted into SJVC’s generic ADN I will do their program. I completed my LVN program there and loved the instructors.

That’s good to hear! I don’t know anyone that has gone there so I was curious if it was good or not. If you don’t mind me asking.. did you do private loans or loans through them to pay for it?

I was able to get federal student loans and financial aid when I did the LVN program. It may be different for me this time around, I think I’m maxed out on being able to get additional federal loans. Sallie Mae offers student loans, but the interests rates are a bit high. I know the school does some type of payment plan, but I’m not to familiar with how that works.

Just finished my interview. I feel like it well.. they said it was a great interview so I am hoping that is a good sign. So now I wait.. so nervous.. praying this is my year and I get in

Anyone hear back yet?  I assumed they would call this week since only Monday is February.

Hi! Last update I received was final interviews were going to be conducted today. The 28th -4th would be notification week.

I just had my financial aid appointment on Tuesday.. a little nervous about how much money the program costs but at this point, I am just ready to get in and get done
