Just a word of advice.

I highly recommend waiting until you meet the person in real life and have a conversation before committing to any carpooling. Your personalities may not match or you may just annoy each other way too much. Sometimes people get their feelings hurt as to why you don't want to carpool any more and clinicals become awkward.

from what a friend told me who is attending sac city los rios adn program, a 20$ prestige stethoscope from amazon is good enough.

Islandmomma, I believe Sacramento schools and Stan State sent out their notifications last week. I called delta last week snd they said 4 people had dropped..I called just now and they said I was misinformed and only 2 people have dropped. I feel like there is a lack of communication and that they do not update the waitlist daily. I personally know more than two people that have declined their spots. If anyone finds out any more info, please let us alternates know. This is really a drag :(

I was also told about a week ago that they had already admitted 4 people from the alternate list. I'm just hoping that I can get in this time aroound, it seems like I've been waiting forever!

I think they're trying to account for screwing up and disqualifying people that shouldn't have been. The lady said that the waitlist has for example alternate #8A and #8B.. I hope they realize how discouraging it is to hear you've actually moved back two spots. Out of 70 people, I'd say at least 10 are bound to drop for their first choice school or personal reasons. ---- had said that the entire alternate list had been accepted last semester. Hang in there!

Thank you for your response Tc91, so there is a alternate waitlist with an A & B? Do you think more will drop?? Does anyone know when Stan. & Sac deadlines will be for acceptance?

There aren't lists A & B. Some people were wrongly disqualified so they were put back in the place they should've been. Does anyone know how high the alternate list is? More than 10, 20?

I know someone who is #28 on alt list so there is at least that many!!

They will probably let alot of them in after the holidays if enough people drop,,

I hope they get alternates in soon because my friends are waiting to be notified!!

SO if they let people in after the original sets of alternates were informed of their positions doesn't that change everything? Like if you were told you are alternate 10 but because of some paper work issue the school had let a previously disqualified person jump in front of you and now you are number 11. I do not think that would be fair for the first group of alternates.
