San Joaquin Delta College ADN Spring 2017

Nursing Students General Students

Hey guys and gals. I noticed there wasn't a thread for people applying to the Delta Nursing program for Spring 2017, yet, so I thought I'd start one. This is a good place to talk to one another to post/share information about the application process and your experiences and/or questions. Good luck everyone!

Yes I did. I honestly found it to be very helpful and I'm glad that I took it. It is also 2units which was very helpful since 1st semester is only 10 units so I was able to receive my full financial aid

Studying for prereqs and studying for nursing school are very different. There are just not enough hours in the week to do it all so learning about different studying techniques was very helpful. Also with the study skills class we have access to EDGT which is super expensive by itself and has been extremely helpful for first semester. It's not a class that is critical to take like Physio or anatomy but it will definitely help you.

Mrs Pieretti and Dr Taylor are so amazing! Dr Taylor is my clinical instructor right now and we are all so sad that we can't continue with her next semester. She is a phenomenal instructor and such a brilliant and inspirational woman. We were all saying how lucky your group is to have them both.

Hey there, so I know it's early but I have 3 nursing textbooks for sale. If anyone is interested just email me at [email protected]

Hey guys, does anyone want to buy a copy of the parks nursing guide (ISBN 9781451187014). I'm going to sell it for 50

Or best offer...

Hi guys,

Did any of you guys know about alternates during the orientation?

Any information will be appreciated.

Sorry, but no they didn't mention anything about alternates.

I hope I still have a chance.:(

Hello everyone! I got accepted and have some questions about the program.

1.) Do you upload FERPA/essential performance page with the student signature page on myCB? Because there isn't a separate section for those two.

2.) Was I supposed to get training (accord to the essential performance page) in Infection Control and Fire Safety? I am pretty sure that isn't referring to CPR...

3.) Just to really make sure, black shirt khaki's on skills days, white uniform for clinicals, regular clothes for lectures? Any exceptions? So first day=regular clothes

hey there Astroxy. I was wondering the same thing. I am supposed to check off that I completed those and submit the signature page but I haven't done those and cannot figure out for the life of me where those are located to do them.

How is everyone doing? Are y'all ready to begin?

@mgomez

Hey!! I am so ready, can't wait. I had a quick question. As far as the Castillo workbook goes... How are they graded when we turn them in? Do they review it with us? just curious since some of the sections answers will vary from student to student?
