Hey guys and gals. I noticed there wasn't a thread for people applying to the Delta Nursing program for Spring 2017, yet, so I thought I'd start one. This is a good place to talk to one another to post/share information about the application process and your experiences and/or questions. Good luck everyone!
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Hi.. Was just asked today to submit documentation! We are one step closer.
tamaware217 29 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Yes. Me too! I'm excited. Gonna drop it off next week. Hopefully my points are good.
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Same here, I am applying with 72 points. I tried to make a thread asking what the cut off or lowest accepted score was but got no reply í ½í¸
IssyA0814 4 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Hey kdevinva26, and tamaware217 I also applied for this Spring my points are low so am keeping my fingers crossed! I was asked to submit my documents also. Am wondering about how to calculate my points I know you can print it and figure it out based on the print out and calculating your GPA and such but on the print out it says you only get 2.5 points for a AA degree and it was giving me 4.5 points so am wondering if they rest of the information regarding points is right! Thanks
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Hi! For my AA/AS I only calculated getting 2.5 points. It looks like for a BA/BS you could get 5 points but the max for that section period is 5 points. I hope that's right....
IssyA0814 4 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Thank you kdevinva26! So if I may ask how did you manage to get your points I did fairly well in my pre-req classes and ok on my tease but my points are still pretty low! Am nervous
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 I have a license that gave me extra points and I got all A's in my prerequisite with no repeats, other wise I would have low points because I got 76.7 on my teas í ½í¸í ½í¸í ½í¸. I saw that someone this last app period was admitted with 62.5 points but that could have been from the 10% lottery portion
IssyA0814 4 Posts Oct 1, 2016 I think am have a low chance of getting in but all in due time! So being asked to submit documents means what exactly?
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 You never know what's going to happen, I'm really nervous too. I'm not exactly sure this is my first time applying.
Kdevinva26 126 Posts Oct 1, 2016 We have a long wait ahead until we find out anything after turning in the docs.. But at least it's not as long as finishing the preqs lol
IssyA0814 4 Posts Oct 1, 2016 Agreed it has been a long tough road! Am excited and nervous but we are this step closer.
