San Joaquin Delta College ADN Spring 2016 Applicants

Published

Hey guys!

So I made this thread so that anyone applying to SJDC for spring semester 2016 can post with any questions, and fingers crossed, we all get in and can get to know each other a little bit :)

If you don't mind posting your scores, what are you points? I calculated mine and I am at 57 points, so i'm a little worried.

Does anyone know what the point cut offs were for the last couple semesters? And how low did they go down to after people either declined or accepted their spots?

Thank you MP. Also, did you have your transcripts from your other college evaluated yet? I just submitted my evaluation form and I'm concerned that I won't be able to register for my nursing classes on November 25th without the evaluation being done. Does anyone know if this will effect my ability to register for classes?

I didn't know we needed them to be evaluated? The student info packet only states that pre req courses taken outside of delta college need to be evaluated prior to graduation and they recommend we have that done during the second semester of the nursing program. I don't see where it says we need them evaluated before registering for classes. Has anyone else had there's evaluated?

I believe we can get started on the immunizations right now because they are due on December 4, according to the packet. I will call tomorrow to make sure.

Thanks gsteve, I'll check on this site tomorrow.

@MP, I saw a counselor on Tuesday and she had me submit the request for evaluation. I was just curious if the nursing courses require the prereqs that the system my not allow me to register without the prereq entered into their system. I sent an email to the evaluations office, I'll let you know what I find out.

I took prerequisites at MJC and already had my registration date, and it went fine ☺️

Thank you! That's good to know :)

Thank you Rhiannon! That answers my question. Good to know info for sure. Thanks everyone for sharing.

I just wanted to share that the evaluations office got back to me and has let me know that you do not need a transcript evaluation done to be able to register for the nursing classes. All you need are the codes listed in the student packet.

I'm coming from the Riverbank area, anyone else coming from this direction ?! Also does anyone know if we Will be attending class three days a week and doing clinicals 2 days ? Looks like that on the schedule, but I wasn't sure if that was maybe the first month? I had heard it was class one day a week, but I know things change ...

I'm not coming from Riverbank area, I'm coming from Antioch area, anyone else coming from that way?

I heard the same thing, lecture one day a week and clinicals two days a week but the schedule does look different from that so I'm not sure.

I saw my Dr. today and had my blood draw for the tithe testing. I hope I'm not out of compliance with any dates. I'm not going to get any of the necessary immunizatuins until 11/20. Dr. Wanted to do the blood draw now so we had results next week and could then determine if I need a booster for the MMR. I hope this is all in compliance. í ½í¸€

How is everyone doing in regard to getting ready for the Spring semester? Any challenges or obstacles yet? Please share your experiences or concerns so we can help each other out! :)

it is great if we have FB page

I am just waiting to start my imminizations on same day on the 23rd(no more than 60days), and set up my account with certifiedbackground tomorrow. I'll drive once to school on the 10th (orientation )& also get uniform fitting(I called Dove & they said the latest day to order the uniform is the 10th) also pay for the uniform B. So this way, I won't have to drive to school twice!!
