So I made this thread so that anyone applying to SJDC for spring semester 2016 can post with any questions, and fingers crossed, we all get in and can get to know each other a little bit :)
If you don't mind posting your scores, what are you points? I calculated mine and I am at 57 points, so i'm a little worried.
Does anyone know what the point cut offs were for the last couple semesters? And how low did they go down to after people either declined or accepted their spots?
I too have created my certified background account! I took the drug test today! I contacted SJDC as well as certified background in regard to the "INCORRECT DATES" as well as the "HEPATITUS C." Wendy has informed me that she has reached out to certified background to update the platform with the correct dates. The representative from certified background stated that she had not received/heard from/there are no potential updates on file for our SJDC semester. So I don't know who to believe. Per my conversation with Wendy, I will be holding off on uploading my documents until next week, in order for them to have time to update the dates. Regarding Hepatitus C, this will be removed from the list because it is no longer required for clinical admission. We will NOT have to get a Hepatitus C test/titer.

Has anyone done their first TB screen yet? I want to get it today with a reading on Friday. The paperwork says it just has to be done within 90 days, so will prior to the 60 day be ok?
Is there anyone who has not started the background/drug test process yet? I am still waiting to hear if I was accepted into my local school so I haven't started yet, I'm scared I am falling behind in the process!

You should be okay! In the TB screening section of the APPENIX I, it says you can have the test performed within "the three months preceding entry into school."
I decided to skip the 2-step skin tests. Since I was already having blood drawn for the titers, I had my doctor order the Quantiferon TB test. It is a one time blood test, it is the most accurate, and you only have to do it once.
I have also been very confused by the "Please note some immunizations and screeenings need to be done no more than 60 days prior to starting the program" warning on the 1st page. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate ANYTHING in the packet with the 60 day limit. I called the Health Sciences office today for clarification. The gal that answered said it was in regard to the TB test, but the packet clearly states that we can have it done within 3 months. She is going to have Wendy call me back tomorrow with an answer. Hopefully 90 days is okay, since I already had the blood test done. I don't want to have to do it again!

I already started the process. I created my account and paid my fees yesterday. I went to QUEST and had my drug screening done today. I wouldn't worry too much about setting up your account because you have until the 23rd. All of the dates and stuff in the certified background website are all wrong anyway. They are in the process of trying to fix the problem with the platform! I think you are okay, for now! :)
Also anyone having issues ordering the background check? It is telling me the package is currently unavailable :/ I sent an email to the company
Thanks for the Facebook page, I requested to join. I didn't have any problems with ordering the background check when I did it yesterday. Maybe they are just trying to fix the overdue due dates that were showing and then the page will come up. :-)
I have uploaded many documents to the MYDOCUMENTS tab in the platform. I have not transferred them to the checklist yet since the dates are still incorrect!
I applied for Liability Insurance today! The process was very easy! My quote was $27 for the year! I will keep everyone posted/updated if I experience any issues or problems!
