San Joaquin Delta College ADN Fall 2014

Published

Hi friends, my name is John. I'm new here and wanted to start a thread for those applying for the Fall 2014 admission at SJDC. I've read similar threads about past classes and found them interesting and informative.

I just finished up Physiology (still nervously waiting for my grade) and I'll be taking the TEAS at Modesto JC on 12/20. After that I'll be putting together my application!

I just noticed on Delta's ADN site that the TEAS will be offered at the Stockton campus the second week of January. Still no information on when the actual application period is going to be.

Anybody else want to share any thoughts, concerns, rumors, or advice?

bohling24 - I'm not sure about how many days of the week we will have clinicals, but I'm pretty sure classes are M-F with varying times. As far as the health insurance goes, I would go through the packet again. There is a page with more detail on where to go and what the liabilty insurance needs to state. It's on the page after the one giving uniform information. The website they give you is for NSO and they require the effective date to be within 60 days following the application date. So for myself, I will be applying after June 19th. Hope that helps.

Hey guys i was wondering if any of you have started preparing/studying?

Is someone able to tell, how much lowest score was got accepted last semester?

Please

i ll appreciate that!

thanks

Hey All, congrats to those that have been accepted into deltas nursing program, I am finishing up my first semester in the program as we speak! I know how stressful the unknown can be and just happened to come across this feed. If any of you have any questions or concerns I am happy to help! You guys can e-mail me at [email protected] I also recommend you guys starting a facebook group page if you haven't already, I found it to be super helpful for our class! good luck guys!

Congrats to those who got accepted! I'm going to be transitioning to 4th sem in the fall.

bohling24 - For our class - You don't actually need to have health insurance as I was told. However, check with the nursing office in case they have implemented new rules.

Anyone commuting from Concord/Clayton/Walnut Creek? I hope to look for a carpool buddy. The schedule to select courses are not official yet (at least not on our end, not sure if it is in your guy's packet). They will be official sometime later next week. So I don't even know if the schedule is carpool friendly.

This program meets three times a week, except for the first two weeks - it's boot camp schedule and here and there, there will be skills lab/Sims lab so your schedule might be off here and there, but still averaging 3 days/week. But the majority is lecture on one day (4-5 hours) and then 6:30-3:30 ish clinicals for two days.

Hope this helps!

how rude of me....i was excited to see your post i just realized i didn't congratulate you !!!! Congratulations !!!! wow I can't wait to be where you are any words of advice ???

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows what KMOD stands for in regards to clinical site location? I figured out what the other abbreviations stand for but am unsure on this one. Thanks.

It was Kaiser Modesto I believe, but when I checked the schedule again today that one is now gone and it was replaced with a Saturday Sunday schedule at Sutter Tracy. So I'm guessing it can change up until we actually register?

Oh ok, I kind of thought it was a Kaiser location. Thank you. And booo to clinicals on Saturday and Sunday. Guess we'll just have to wait til our actually registration day to know for sure.
