Has anyone applied for the program?

Thank you! Aggh, I just got an acceptance letter from a school down in Salinas today!

Congrates hijadecalifs .... :yeah:

Thank you so much! It feels like a load has been been lifted off my shoulders. Now I know for sure that I'm going to a nursing school next fall, the question is which one. Hopefully I'll get into one that's closer because Salinas is over 2 hours away from me! I would have to rent a room somewhere near Salinas and I just found out my sister is expecting (!!!) so I want to try to stay close to home to support her and whatnot throughout her pregnancy.

Well anyways,

Good luck to all those waiting!! :) :redpinkhe

I wish I had found this website earlier! I was not the only checking my email obsessively! 'Congratulations on being invited to submit documentation' is my new favorite sentence! One step closer. Good luck everyone :)

anyone know how many students apply each semester, how many are accepted and how many alternates are chosen?

Last year, the number of applicants was around 600. I imagine that has not changed much. According to the FAQs, roughly 60-70 students are accepted (depends on the budget). I don't know how many waitlisted people there are.

Thanks for the info. This is my first time applying. The waiting part is hard!

I don't know how many of us are out there. My app number was pretty high... in hundreds... so seems like large number of applicants.

So, are you deciding to join Salinas ? Is it a BSN program or ADN

Congrats to your sister! That is so exciting. I hope everything will go well with her pregnancy.

It's an ADN program. It may be easier for me to attend San Joaquin since it's much closer, so I'm going to wait and see what my options are. I'm hoping to get into Contra Costa which is only ten minutes away from my house. Thanks so much!

Hey, all -

I wanted to know if anyone else had this issue -

I am all ready to turn in my documentation except one thing - I took English at UCSB in 2005, and there is no online catalog for the 2005-2006 school year (Remember, the description you must submit must be from the year you took it!).

I actually stopped by the nursing office today (they are open, but not everyone is there, since it's Spring Break, so it's a crapshoot if you'll actually get to talk to anyone), and they referred me to Admissions and Records, since I do have the actual printed catalog from that year, but the year isn't listed on the pages for verification. Of course, Admission and Records is closed two days this week, today included. So, I'm gonna call the admissions office tomorrow.

Anyone else have this question or have had it answered? BTW, if anyone had questions about BOG fee waiver verification, I might have a few pointers, since I had to ask about this, as well.

Happy documenting!
