Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program? Also, when applying will you be using option A, B or both? Lets talk about it here. :redbeathe

Hello to everyone..

Has anyone jumped at the opportunity to sign up for the class at Laporte EMS? Please let me know.

Yes, I signed up this morning!!

How much money do we need to take to orientation...around $400???

I'm guessing that the transition lab supply kit doesn't include a stethoscope since most people who are already an LVN or EMT are going to have one. I'm thinking on getting a stethoscope on the outside to save a little money.

What is a good stethoscope to buy?

Littmann is a good brand from what I've read. The only thing I hate about pricey stethoscopes is that they are an easy theft item.

I think I'm gonna go with the Classic...bc the lightweight I'm afraid that it will be too flimsy and I will have problems hearing the pulse.

Any idea what all includes in a lab supply kit?

yes I think thats right, if your buying the steth also?

did you guys know for the first semester we have to buy ten books which ofcourse we will use more than one semester but the estimated amount is $750, for anyone already in ADN program where do you suggest we buy them if with anyluck used??:smokin:

Does anyone know if that lady is still sending Emails. I applied for the fall 2010 and I haven't received an email of denial nor acceptance. I called and she is not in for today, so I am a bit anxious being that I see that several people got accepted and already talking of orientation. If someone has some info about emails please post something.

I'm sure she will be sending more emails out, as the 19th is the deadline for people who've received acceptance letters to confirm that they're attending, otherwise they lose their spot.

Thanks, I didn't know that the 19th was the deadline. This news brings a little comfort and hope.

hey for ppl thinking about books i work at the bookstore across the street. It is always hard to find used nursing books because most people keep them for reference!! the total for the first semester is usually 500-600 not 750!!! that sounds ridiculously high i have never seen someone spend that much in our store!
