Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

Have you seen the skills check off list? It says to wash the back and then the perineum and it leaves off the armpit unless it assumes that we wash the armpit while we're washing the arm. How funny!

And it says that we introduce ourselves and then wash our hands. I wouldn't be worried if I knew Dr. **** was grading me.

Oh, well in that case I would go by the checklist. As for the whole not having the armpit on there, that's funny. Maybe Mark created the list. . .I can't let it go : )

Believe it or not, I'm actually worried more for the bed making than anything else. I can wash a person no problem but you give me linens. You're just asking for a disaster.

Hey guys, just went over my paper again....do we need to punch holes in it and put it in one of those report folders? I bout one and it has the thingys to put in the holes. Also, is there a specific order the paperwork has to go in once it is in the folder? I was finishing the my nursing lab this weekend before doing the paper, because I knew that wasn't going to be hard.

Yeah, it needs to fit in a folder with the three metal prong thingies. I have no idea how to describe it, so yes, punch three holes and you'll be good there : )

The order it goes is: grading criteria first, paper second, article last. Wash, rinse, repeat. Or...not. I don't know if that's how other professors will want it, but I turned mine in like that and Dr. **** said he preferred it that way so take that however you want.

Did everyone see the announcement on blackboard about bringing our diagnosis book this week and printing off the care plans and problems lists? Says bring several copies of each.

FYI: For some reason (rumor, instructor not having the right time or whatever), the skills check-off is NOT 15 minutes. Rather, it's 30 minutes. And exhale...now.

Confirmed this with Miss ****** today so we can all sleep easy knowing we have twice as long to do it (though I'm sure they would like us to be near the 15 minute mark).

So where's everyone going to get their flu shot?

Not : D

Never had the flu so no reason for me to hog a shot when someone who needs it more deserves to have it.

okay, so do you guys think the 13 chapters will be harder just because the other test was 8 chapters? lol. i would like to think they will be equally as "difficult". i put quotes, because it might not have been difficult to you guys.

but what do y'all think?

Well, question wise, it'll be about the same. Difficulty wise, it's hard to say. The amount of different material will be a bit shocking, but I still don't think this is harder than anything we've done before. I am the eternal optimist though : D

I do not think they are giving us a choice.
