Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Oh ok. I ended up web dropping last night, because of the overcharge and not being officially cleared to register.

Ah. Nothing to worry, there's really not much there yet. Just an announcement detailing what we need to bring on Tuesday and Wednesday, the course calendar, a book list (again), and what appears to be exam help.

I also just noticed that on the calendar we have 3 skills to check off. Prepare yourselves!

Our first skill is......vital signs! Our second skill is.....washing people! And the third magical one being....ability to give medications orally and topically! Vital signs is going to be hilariously easy, as should the other two.

how do we know where our classroom is for health assessment on monday? its not listed on the schedule. lol or am i BLIND!??

They're probably still deciding. I'd only worry if it gets to the 24th and they still don't have a classroom listed.

why do we have to have a black pen? why can't it be blue? lol

Not to sound like a know it all (probably too late for that anyway), but I know for writing reports and stuff, black pens are absolutely positively mandatory. In my EMT stuff, if you wrote in any other color, you failed that report. Not exactly a happy thought considering you'd spend about an hour to two hours writing the thing.

also, so when she said "boys,white t shirts and girls, optional" does that mean like under our scrubs for school? we can wear whatever t shirt underneath?

i didn't even think we would wear one at all..

I'm obligated by law (and INTERPOL too probably) to wear one. I think for you of the opposite sex, you can either wear a white shirt or...not...wear...a white shirt. Very absolute kind of choice. I don't even get a choice : (

Oh... hmm, and i know the shoes in the hospital have to be solid white all around, but the shoes at school, can they be like regular tennis shoes? like mine r white,silver,n pink.. i didnt know it mattered what shoes on campus

I forget where I read this, but they have to be either black or white athletic shoes. So I suppose you could just buy some white ones and wear those at school and clinicals.

i read the same thing.. ugh i just bought these tennis shoes lol (not for nursing, but.. to buy them because i liked them) and now i can't wear them :( ugh. whatever.

i'm waiting for an announcement for health assessment..

lol, i dont even know where the class is. that's on monday, so i'm more worried about that one now!

Hmm, well I went to SOS and pulled up my schedule. It's showing my room number, so maybe you could check in there.
