San Jacinto ADN Spring 2014

Published

Wanted to start a blog on anyone trying for the Spring 2014 ADN program at San Jacinto. Going to take my first HESI A2 test on Aug. 28 and I am a little nervous. Hope I do well. I am still trying to get everything together so that I can turn in but all these injections and titters are driving me crazy. Has anyone else taken the HESI yet? any pointer you can give me?

For those who got the acceptance letters, I hope you are having a good day at the orientation. It has been a difficult journey, but I am glad that we are supporting and encouraging each other.

RichardW: call them, they picked up earlier when I called and took my callback info.

@Dweeks I can let you guys know what is said @ orientation regarding acceptance/reject letters

DW, they got my call back information a few times already, but have not done anything. So, it means nothing.

RichardW: How did u do on your HESI / rubric? Competitive?

For the ones that did not receive an acceptance or rejection letter I wanted to let you know Mrs. Linda was not at orientation and the ones who were not confirm their names was on the attendance list. You should get of hold of ------ she is the director of the nursing program if you go to the san jacinto home page and click on directories on top of the page then click nursing department and central campus you will see her information. Good luck to all and if you did not make it this semester fall application will be open soon so do not give up my rubric score was 19 if your rubric score is low I recommend for you to take easy classes during the spring like gym, drama, speech just for you can make easy A and you can get more points from your gpa score you do not want to take your science or hesi over that just a big headache also math and English will be and easy A well I just want to wish you all good luck and do not give up. Happy Holidays

Thank you, Love-2013, for the information. May I ask how many students were there for the orientation? Did they explain why some students do not receive any letter at all?

There was 100 students and no they did not explain it they also did not explain why some students did not receive a confirm email but my advice if you get accepted for the fall reply to you acceptance email that moment and make sure to call them or go to school the following day to make sure they received it because that was a big issue this time I think all of this had to do with the new staff but talk to ------ she has been there and she is a nice lady and wants everyone to succeed also I have several friends that their rubric score was 17 and they got in..

They didn't say anything about there being any issues with the emails or anything. I did come about 10 minutes late but I don't believe they said anything about that in the first 10 minutes. I did over hear one instructor telling the retention specialist they were over the # that was supposed to be accepted but If I were you guys with any questions I would go to the school to talk to the aa in person.

Does anyone know where I can get the book list from?

The two people I was sitting next too both got acceptance letter but never got a confirmation and both of their names were on the list.

Catherine did they give the list of books?
