Hi i wanted to start this thread for those who are going into the Spring 2018 ADN Program at San Jac Central. I would like to know Hesi score, Gpa, and total number for ranking.
Hesi 80%
GPA 4.0
Total score 17
I'm just assuming the drug test has to be done by 9/1. But that's only because I didn't specifically see an exception to it, like the BON card and the physical exam. And there's a form you have to print from Castle Branch and take with you to your drug test. Your results could, I'm assuming, get delayed otherwise.
But who knows. I would hope that they weren't that strict. Let's say someone gets in based on their score, I don't think they would deny you because some forms haven't been submitted yet.
I think that's also why they put deadlines on all the vaccinations, titers, CPR, etc. To weed out people from the beginning. If anyone needs CPR training I did it with a guy that came to my house. Super cool guy and it was only $55 bucks. Which to me isn't bad at all for him traveling to where you are. The drug test doesn't need to be completed by 09/01 right? I didn't see a deadline for that specifically so I am guessing you can just do that after. Either way, it doesn't seem like that would be too much of a hassle.
I think the drug test needs to be done before the application deadline and it will be done through Castlebranch.
That's a heck of a deal for BLS. I own a health & safety company and BLS makes up 95% of the courses I teach, and most of my students are nurses or nursing students. I will travel too, but I do have an office on Pearland where most of my classes are held.
Hello everyone. I am applying to UT Health (probably a long shot) and San Jacinto.
Hesi-90.8 (retaking reading section because I got a 63 on the conclusions sub section, but I got an 89 overall for the reading)
GPA-3.52
Science GPA-4.0
Rubric-23
I will turn in my application after my retake on the 16th. I got everything completed on Castle Branch except for the blue card and physical. Good luck to everyone.
I have two questions. When they are calculating our gpa, do they only calculate the classes that we have in the program or all of the classes we have ever taken. Also, do you guys believe that if our sciences are over 5 years old, they would count those with the new sciences we took. The reason I ask is because I made a C and a B. I replaced those with A's. Thanks for the help...

They calculate both. Have you done the application yet? They will calculate the four pre-req classes (A&P 1 & II, Micro, and English) and then they will calculate your overall GPA for any of the classes you've take at San Jac, other colleges, or both.
If you've retaken classes they will take the highest score. I retook Intro to Psych and English 1 to boost my overall GPA and they said they would take the classes that I received the highest grade in. Hope this answers your question.
