San Jac ADN fall 2018

Published

With the deadline for the fall semester quickly approaching, I wanted to go ahead and create a forum. I am freaking out, I'm sure like many others about my acceptance!

I wanted to post my stats:

AP 1: B

AP 2: B

enlish: B

Micro: In progress

hesi: 90% overall

san jac gpa: 3.41

but I do have other transcripts to calculate in

I'm not 100% of my rubric score because of the gpa calculations and my micro grade.

I submitted my app today! Best of luck to everyone :)

I got accepted on the 17th of this month. I have accepted the offer. I am on alternate at the north campus. I think both campuses are same distance from me.

So you accepted your offer at central and later went to the North? Would you recommend North campus to Central. Because I did not bother to reply to the alternate. Please I need your advice. Thanks.

I went to the clinic today to do it but the form is not complete because of the eye exam that can only be performed by optometrist. That is what is left for me to do and the BON.

Congrats. I am in for central too.

Yes, I was initially going to Central but got offered a spot at North. North Campus is so much closer to me so that's why I wanted to go there. Honestly I love the North Campus because of the distance of course, and the cohort is so much smaller and the teachers are awesome and it really feels like they are there to help us succeed. But I have heard great things about central as well from other students and that program has been around longer so Im sure the teachers there are great too!

Thanks for your reply. if I may ask, what are the major difficult subjects one need to be studying now b4 resumption? I heard that pharmacology has a lot to study.

Yes, second semester we had Pharm 16 weeks and med surg and mental health 8 weeks each. Working is definitely doable, just make sure to manage your time wisely :)

AWESOME! Is every semester after the first 8 weeks each class or are the remaining classes 16 weeks long?

You'll find a way to learn content of each class as you go. If anything, I suggest getting familiar with nursing math calculations (you can google it or find videos on YouTube), knowing your math conversions, maybe try to learn your lab values and what they mean if they are high or low and review nursing school test questions on like quizlet or purchase an nclex study book like Saunders to review the material.

So far pharm had been the only 16 week class, everything else has only been 8.

You are such a blessing. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.

Please for those without health insurance, does the school give health insurance. Although one of the criteria was you must have insurance to be ablessed to start classes.
