San Jac ADN fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

With the deadline for the fall semester quickly approaching, I wanted to go ahead and create a forum. I am freaking out, I'm sure like many others about my acceptance!

I wanted to post my stats:

AP 1: B

AP 2: B

enlish: B

Micro: In progress

hesi: 90% overall

san jac gpa: 3.41

but I do have other transcripts to calculate in

I'm not 100% of my rubric score because of the gpa calculations and my micro grade.

I submitted my app today! Best of luck to everyone :)

I think you should be fine then! If it's JUST the conclusions part. I thought you meant you got an overall 67% on the reading. Reach out to Ms. Navejar and just double check with her. If your overall points is 23 thats pretty high already.

Thanks, I just find it so silly if it would matter that much. I mean the conclusion part is 6 questions and I got 4 right. That means only missing one is a passing grade. Do you know if I'm able to meet with Ms. Navejar in person?

Can anyone on this board please share your experiences with the program? I have been accepted for Spring 2019 but I have heard many mixed things about the program so now I am a little nervous.

Thanks!!

I was also nervous but you really naturally adjust to the program. What are you really worried about?

I have heard from multiple people that the instructors show favoritism.... that it is a lot of politics and if you arent one of the chosen ones you won't really have any help. No offense to anyone I am only repeating what I have heard but I have also heard that there are a lot of African and Indian professors in the program and that they mostly have heavy accents and are hard to understand and that they don't really teach.. they mostly just read powerpoints and expect you to learn most of everything on your own at home.

well most of what you said is true. One of my professors was Indian and she did have a heavy accent but she is the most sweetest professors I've ever had. I think she really is the best professors out of all of them. Her name is professor Joyson. Other professors as you mentioned do just read straight off the power points. Sometimes the powerpoints have a lot of typos and gets you confused . This is my first semester so I don't know what to expect with the next sessions and professors, but so far I have not seen anything about favoritism. I mean it is possible. The professors always tell you to read the book, power point and notes and I swear sometimes the questions that show up on the exams have nothing to do with what we studied. One of the advisors , her name is Professor Ford, she is extremely helpful and listens to any concerns you have. She gives you study tips and lets you borrow books to help you study. Don't think too much about it, I know someone attending UT and what she is going through is 100x worst. You will make it

Thank you so much! Would you mind sharing what your schedule was like for the first semester? Congrats on making it through the first semester :)

Also, how many are in your classes? Like does everyone who gets accepted start off in the same classes or do they break the group up?

Can anyone please tell me how the program is like to your opinion? How are professors? Ate they carring and helpful? What is the ATI or Hesi for each of class? Books, scrubs, clinical rotation, care plan pages.?? Any recommendations? I am so nervous and trying to prepare the best I could for the program!
Anything will be appreciated❤️Thank you so much!

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if some one could tell me what is the difference between the north and central campus.

Or if anyone is in either program could tell me what you like and dislike about the program.

Hello

I plan on applying here for Fall 2020. I wanted to know if you all could share what your schedule was like I’m this program. What days and times are classes and clinicals? Also how you liked the program overall
