San Jac ADN fall 2018

Published

With the deadline for the fall semester quickly approaching, I wanted to go ahead and create a forum. I am freaking out, I'm sure like many others about my acceptance!

I wanted to post my stats:

AP 1: B

AP 2: B

enlish: B

Micro: In progress

hesi: 90% overall

san jac gpa: 3.41

but I do have other transcripts to calculate in

I'm not 100% of my rubric score because of the gpa calculations and my micro grade.

I submitted my app today! Best of luck to everyone :)

I got accepted into the ADN program in central campus at San Jac. I will like to know those accepted too so we can relate and look for a way forward. Thanks.

When did you get your acceptance

has anyone made a facebook group yet?

Is anyone having the same problem with immunizations as me? I emailed them asking what I should do, but haven't heard back. I don't want it to cost me my spot.

I think as long as you're working on the series you should be fine...I would call and double check though. They shouldn't yank your spot over something you have no control over...

They said I can just have them redraw the titers in August! Thank goodness! So, just sent in that I confirm my spot. Looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation!

Which university if I may ask? I am also waiting impatiently to hear from UTH...got accepted to both Central and north as well but will decline if I get into UTH

PVAMU but I'm still waiting to hear back from UTH as well

I don't know how many alternates but there is definitely a good chance to get in if you're selected as an alternated just make sure you send the response as soon as you can that you want to be considered as an alternate. I actually got put as an alternate at north and got accepted at central but then got called by north to accept my alternate a week after I had attended orientation at central so that's why I know about both.. at north we did not have to spend any money and everything was more relaxed. There's a certain place that's used for uniforms but besides that you can purchase other items elsewhere, which is great because you want to find the best price possible.

how are the classes set up? Morning and evening? Monday-Thursday or every other day?

Hi, please for the physical form where they asked for the size of the heart, can it be left blank? The doctor wrote "not applicable" am worried and I do not want castleBranch to reject the form.

The first semester we were in class Monday through Thursday but the hours were different. Some days we were there until 1:30 others until 11:30. the second semester we were only in school 2 days of the week and one day for clinical. There are no evening classes, at least at north. so far for the rest of the program, from what I have seen, it'll continue to be the same of only 2 days in school and 1 day at clinical.

Yes, my Dr. did the same and castle branch did not reject it.

Thank you for the response(: Did second semester have 3 classes? Were they Pharm, med surg and mental health? I hope it remains like that because I plan on working PRN/part time.

Yes, second semester we had Pharm 16 weeks and med surg and mental health 8 weeks each. Working is definitely doable, just make sure to manage your time wisely :)
