San Jac ADN fall 2018

Published

With the deadline for the fall semester quickly approaching, I wanted to go ahead and create a forum. I am freaking out, I'm sure like many others about my acceptance!

I wanted to post my stats:

AP 1: B

AP 2: B

enlish: B

Micro: In progress

hesi: 90% overall

san jac gpa: 3.41

but I do have other transcripts to calculate in

I'm not 100% of my rubric score because of the gpa calculations and my micro grade.

I submitted my app today! Best of luck to everyone :)

Congratulations to all who have been accepted! For those going to central be ready to buy uniforms and nurse bag at orientation. You may be required to even buy your stethoscope there so don't buy one before.

I currently attend the north campus and for their orientation they mainly gave us info on rules and financial aid as well as where to buy your uniforms and some info on the books..

I believe north was only accepting between 35-40 on this term.

If there's anything I can help answer I'll be glad to

Congrats again and good luck!!!

Thank you! Will the North students also be required to buy anything at orientation, or do we just need them before the first day of class? And what is a rough estimate of what should expect to spend for everything we need?

I don't know how many alternates but there is definitely a good chance to get in if you're selected as an alternated just make sure you send the response as soon as you can that you want to be considered as an alternate. I actually got put as an alternate at north and got accepted at central but then got called by north to accept my alternate a week after I had attended orientation at central so that's why I know about both.. at north we did not have to spend any money and everything was more relaxed. There's a certain place that's used for uniforms but besides that you can purchase other items elsewhere, which is great because you want to find the best price possible.

Thank you so much for the information! Good luck with the rest of the program.

How about the difficulty of the classes versus A&P 1/2, and Microbiology? Are they harder or easier?

I think with A&P it was more about memorizing the information and taking a test asking you about a specific location or function but with the nursing program the questions are more about how much you comprehend the material and what should be done in a certain situation. The material itself isn't difficulty but it's so much info at once that it may feel overwhelming. I would definitely recommend looking at examples of nursing school tests online or check out a book at the library so that you know what kind of questions will be asked because that was certainly something to get used to for me personally.

Is anyone else super confused about the BON (blue card) and Identogo stuff? The email is super confusing...it says our names were submitted to the BON on May, 2018 (literally mine doesn't say an exact date), then says we can't register on Identgo until June 1st, but if we get a blue card/paper work then we don't have to do it? So...should we be expecting our blue card in the mail or do we have to do the Identgo?? lol

you can do the identigo stuff after june 1. it says our names were submitted in may and we can register for fingerprinting after june 1

Hello,

I actually got an email from identogo back in April 3 made the appointment and got the blue card in the mail a few weeks later. So I guess what they are saying is if you already got the blue card you don't have to do it again is my guess.

I got accepted into the ADN program in central campus at San Jac. I will like to know those accepted too so we can relate and look for a way forward. Thanks.

Yet to hear anything from Central... le sigh

Me too, but i prefer north because is closer to my house than central. They put me for alternate list

I got accepted into North today, but I will be declining because I got accepted into a BSN program

Which university if I may ask? I am also waiting impatiently to hear from UTH...got accepted to both Central and north as well but will decline if I get into UTH
