San Franscisco State (SFSU) Nursing BSN Fall 2016 Applications

Hi everyone! I noticed there wasn't a specific thread for SFSU's nursing application process for their upcoming Fall 2016 semester. Please feel free to post information, questions, your stats, etc. relevant to their Fall 2016 nursing program here if you're applying!!

Congrats to your friend! It seems like TEAS is extremely important this year then.

I have similar stats to your friend and a sfsu student as well, but my teas is an 86 :(

still havent heard either & my friends who have scored from 84-88 have not too.

Still, I don't think we should worry too much. In a recent term, the wait listed applicants went to no. 50! Not all who get accepted immediately file their intent to attend. If an interview is necessary for acceptance, we could get that interview when other students decline their acceptance. I'm hoping anyway...

Thanks for the encouragement!! I'll try to stay positive about it! I didn't realize they went that far down the waitlist. And congrats to everyone who has an interview!

thank you!! really hoping that's what will happen this year and not getting an interview means a waitlist rather than a rejection!

so far the only person I know with an interview is Sutee's friend :)

I haven't gotten any email. Does this mean a rejection? Has anyone received a rejection letter?

Formal admission notices are not until the 2nd week of April. Not quite sure if no email means a for sure rejection though. However someone earlier did say that an interview is required for admission.

Emailed. And they said there would be no waitlist and today is the last day for interview notifications :(

Hi guys! I haven't received an interview notification either and I actually emailed them about not receiving any email about having an interview just this Saturday and they said "students who are contacted for interviews are students who are being considered for admission to the School of Nursing. Applicants should receive information regarding their admission status in early to mid-April." They didn't say anything whether not getting interviewed automatically means you are getting cut or not...so I don't know exactly how they're choosing the people for interviews. I don't know about you guys but as a transfer, I haven't received an admission decision for the actual school (not the school of nursing). I don't know if they send it at the same time as the school of nursing decision! Crossing my fingers for everyone!

good luck!! when I contacted them via email a lady named Susan said that not receiving an email "suggested" that we were not admitted so that's why I assumed SF was done picking :(
