I think so. Not sure if they will give everyone who meets their minimum requirements a call or just randomly call the applicants.

Hi guys, I received an postcard invitation from SFSU for attending their Open House for Fall 2016 Admitted Undergraduate Students and their Families on April 9. I don't know what that means. Suppose this is a general mail because we are not officially accepted by SFSU yet. Have you received such postcard from SFSU?

I haven't received any postcard from them. They have not contacted me by either call or email yet.

I got one of those postcards as well but I do believe they are sent to all potential students for SFSU as I also got one from Chico. I haven't heard anything yet from the nursing program.

Hi Lakota93, I've been wondering if my experience as a registered dental assistant qualifies for the healthcare experience portion of the application. It seems they prefer CNA/EMT hours more than GPA/TEAS score.

My RDA program was a year and I have a lot of certifications, but I haven't seen anyone with this experience on any of the forums.

My stats..

Pre-req GPA: 3.88

TEAS: 89.3

Healthcare hours: 850 as an RDA, but I don't know if SFSU considers dentistry experience.

After looking at threads from previous semesters, it seems healthcare exp. is heavily weighted. TEAS score also seems more important than GPA, since I saw many 4.0's wait listed, while GPA's as low as 3.7 were accepted.

Has anyone heard from them about interviews this week?

Yea, I just met SFSU messenger and was told that TEAS is very important. 50% TEAS + 50% GPA.

I don't think I will get accepted for this Fall because I have not received any email yet, but my friend already got it. I will try again next year anyway. SFSU Nursing School is my dream. I hope it will become true ... one day.
