I haven't seen anyone start a thread for SFSU's ABSN program this year. Hoping to connect with people who applied for Summer 2023!
Does anyone know if we need to submit official transcripts to NursingCAS only? Thanks!

Thank you for starting it and for current student insights because there's a real lack of information from the university. I am on pins and needles this week! Has anyone heard back yet?
I can't take the credit for starting it, that was another student. I only jumped in the last 2 weeks or so. Please remember how you felt now and try to help out future students in this forum next year. A big thing I've learned in nursing school is that we students have to lean on each other to get through this experience.

Could any current students share how you are currently taking notes for classes? Have you found it better to use a laptop vs. iPad? Do you get PowerPoint slides and take notes there? Just curious about the system that has worked best for you all based on the material that is distributed. Any tools you found particularly helpful and recommend students to get?
This really depends on a lot of factors that are very individual. I know some of my classmates LOVE their ipads and the notability app. It honestly does look great. But I wouldn't go out an buy an iPad if you don't already have one. Trust me, nursing school is already expensive enough. Don't add unnecessary expenses if you can help it. I already had a Microsoft Surface so I've been using that and the OneNote application to take my notes. It really depends on what you feel most comfortable doing and how you best learn. A big thing I would recommend is to have a place to note down concepts or terms to look up after class and to talk to your classmates if you didn't catch something or didn't understand it during lecture. My cohort is great at googling those kinds of things and sharing the articles or videos they found with the rest of the class in the discord. It's very likely that if you had a question, at least several other people did too.

I just got mine too ?❤️ I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. Congratulations to everyone for your hard work and dedication! I'm hoping that we all receive some fantastic news today!

?I'm sorry to hear that. I'm wishing you all the best, and I truly believe next year will be your year. I can relate to how you feel because I also faced setbacks last year, and like you, I learned a lot from chats. I do not doubt you have the determination and skills to become a great nurse. Keep pushing forward, and remember that you've got this!

I didn't, but the email said that we will get instructions on how to accept in the official email from the Office of Admission Graduate Studies, so maybe the link will populate then?
