SFSU ABSN Summer 2023 Nursing Program

I haven't seen anyone start a thread for SFSU's ABSN program this year. Hoping to connect with people who applied for Summer 2023!

Does anyone know if we need to submit official transcripts to NursingCAS only? Thanks!

Congrats everyone! I am on the waitlist. Anyone else on the waitlist?

I just got accepted!! congrats to everyone who made it and to those who didn't, keep going y'all will be great nurses in the future I know it!! Also I'm from LA and have to move out there, so is anyone possibly interested in doing off campus housing there? Please let me know ? I'm 21 male

Indeed, congratulations to everyone who got an acceptance! I'm on the waitlist too. I emailed to find my ranking, but assume it's going to take a few days to hear back. I wish they would have just included them in the initial email to save everyone the trouble, but I guess that's just how they do it ?‍♀️

I am also on the waitlist and emailed them about my position! They got back to me pretty quickly so I'm sure you will hear back soon. Wishing us luck ?

Congratulations everyone!!  Does anyone know when the program starts? I'm trying to find an academic calendar to see when the semester start/ends dates are.
TIA!

I was browsing around class search and looks like Summer is 6/5/23-8/11/23.

Did you guys find the acceptance link in the student portal? I received the email, but everything looks the same in my portal.

I didn't but I'm guessing since emails just went out, the portal hasn't updated yet. Here's how it should look when it's available:https://future.sfsu.edu/sites/default/files/documents/Accept-Admission-Offer-Guide.pdf

congrats everyone!! I'm also from socal and looking for off campus housing ? kinda stressed about that. I'm 23 female

Hi everyone! I got my acceptance today and I just want to say congrats to everyone who applied regardless of the outcome. I know how difficult this process can be. It took me 3 years to finally apply to nursing programs despite having a less than desirable undergrad GPA. I actually got into CSUSM, CSULA and today SFSU Accelerated BSN programs and I couldn't be more happy of my accomplishments and how far I've come. Im most likely going to stay in SoCal so my spot can go to a fellow wait lister! Also if anyone who may need to re apply next cycle wants any advice I am more than happy to help! Trust me I really didn't think with my stats I would get in but I got into all the programs I applied to! Congrats to everyone who got accepted today! So proud of everyone on this thread?

And thank you to all the current ABSN students who provided so much insight on the program!

oh sick! what part of socal if you don't mind me asking? and ikkk I thought the stress would end for a little after getting out acceptance letters but here we are ?

Just got my acceptance but I have some decisions to make! I got into a school across the country that'd be a little cheaper. I'm from the Bay Area and don't really want to move, especially since I'd be moving back here after, but $ is a consideration — both the insane cost of living here and tuition. They'd be a lot more well-organized, too, I think.

Does anyone know if there's a facebook group or Discord yet? I'd love to connect w other accepted students to help me make my decision. I know a strong cohort will make a huge difference.

Hi everyone! Congratulations to those of you who were accepted into the program, and good luck to those on the waitlist!!

I made the waitlist, and was told I am #10. If people who are on the waitlist wouldn't mind sharing their ranking/when they get called from the waitlist I would really appreciate it!! Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to hear! ?

Congrats to everyone who got in! I got put on the waitlist :/ but that's okay. I just emailed them to get my ranking to see if it's possible to get in. If not this time I will get in another time :)
