Hi all! I'm brand new to this site and so far I think it's great! I am from New England and have chosen to move across the country to San Diego and start my nursing career in the NICU at the children's hospital! I have my BSN and I have dreamed of being a NICU nurse for as long as I can remember. I recently did my preceptorship in a level III NICU and it really reiterated why I want to be a NICU nurse. I just love it! Now, my question to anyone who wants to answer has to do with San Diego! I've yet to hear anything bad about the place! LOL. I was hoping you could share some experieces with me about what it is like to be a nurse in San Diego, hows ntravel times, apt costs, and how is the lifestyle in general? I couldn't be more excited to go... I just want to know as much as possible before I get out there! Thanks... look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to share some info!!!!!

There are quite a few San Diego nurses here. I hope they respond and good luck with your job!
