Updated:   Published

Hi! I wanted to see what people were planning on applying with for Nationals San Diego Cohort 68. The application deadline is Mid August 2021.

I am not quite finished with my pre-reqs yet nor have I taken my TEAS, but I will update when I have!

My goal is no lower than a 3.6GPA, and 86% or higher on the TEAS

Congratulations on your interview!

Yes, I interviewed for last cohort as well. Then when I got denied, they said your GPA was low. I had 3.4 now I'm at 3.8

May I ask what your TEAS score is? Congratulations on the 3.8 that is amazing!! I hope you get in this round!!

Thank you very much! I hope we both get in!

My TEAS is 94.7

Has anyone here already been through the interview process in the past? Can anyone share what their experience was like and what types of questions they asked? ?

Is anyone here applying to other nursing schools other than national university as a back up plan? If so what schools?

Hello,

I applied to all of the community colleges. I was accepted to SD City Nursing. I’m still waiting on the others. Of course, I have my interview with National as well. Honestly, I have connected with several people that just graduated from City and they passed the NCLEX. One enrolled at WGU for their RN to BSN and the other went to Capella. So no one cares what school you went to. I used to be obsessed with getting into National but there are other options. They may take longer but it’s cheaper and if your not in a hurry they are all good options.

I'm applying to Azusa in San Bernardino and if that doesn't work out I'll try Brandman in Mission Valley.

I also applied to a few communities in case but my coworker just got her ADN from grossmont I believe and she was denied acceptance into any of the major hospitals New grad RN residencies because she hasn't done her BSN yet. She even got denied at our hospital we work at currently because they all want BSN's for their magnet programs. Just a FYI if anyone else is in my predicament that is looking to go straight into the new grad residencies or straight into acute care ?

I wonder if there are any hospitals around san diego that take adns? like maybe the community hospitals like palomar?

I understand you need your BSN that’s why I mentioned you can get it online and you can still get even if you go to the community colleges for ADN. It’s just takes longer. There are people that hire with ADN though.

I'm sorry about that!

I'm applying with 3.8 and 94.7 TEAS!

I don't know if I have to share my TEAS with them again. It's the same score.
