UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hey all,

Starting this thread for anyone applying to Samuel Merritt ABSN program Spring 2026 (Sacramento campus).  If you wish to share your experiences and updates, please post here.

  • I applied early June when the deadline was July 1st
  • Application deadline was subsequently moved to July 15th sometime in mid-June
  • Few days ago it was moved out all the way to Nov 15th

I did attend one of the Sacramento on-campus orientation sessions in May and was told that prospective students might hear back end of July or August, but given the deadline push it seems unlikely now.  I reached out to SMU but received a very non-committal and vague feedback on what to expect... basically "hurry up and wait" sort of response.

Looking forward to hearing from others who are applying to this cohort - please chime in!

for me it is saying my username and/or pw is incorrect although I have the same email and got accepted technically based on the letter of intent

make sure you use the u.n./pass from the email was sent to you, not the OKTA one

 

My question is regarding the $350 initial deposit... 2026 Spring program isn't even listed as an option in the dropdown.

It's not there guys but here are the things you need...

1) Drug Screen 

2) Background test These must be done through castlebranch 

3) Student Health Forms

4) Student ID Photo

5) BLS Certification (CPR through the American Heart Association only)

Once they send you official notice submit your LOI and Deposit. and after your orientation the clinical director will reach out then you can start submitting all of your immunization and also get a physical test. Bye I gotta go study...

I am still not able to sign in specifically when I go to pay the $350 deposit. Otherwise I am able to sign in to get to the dashboard itself and see the letter of intent stating I've been accepted. Has anyone been able to pay the $350 deposit? Was anyone able to find and/or start that checklist that was mentioned previously in this thread?

Your admissions email (mine was sent this morning) from the Dean of Admissions specifies the deadline... should be 9/30/25 😉

THANK YOU! I just got that email- will they start reaching out in regards to financial aid award letters soon? Assuming they would before we have to accept or deny our admission into the program.
