Starting this thread for anyone applying to Samuel Merritt ABSN program Spring 2026 (Sacramento campus). If you wish to share your experiences and updates, please post here.
I applied early June when the deadline was July 1st
Application deadline was subsequently moved to July 15th sometime in mid-June
Few days ago it was moved out all the way to Nov 15th
I did attend one of the Sacramento on-campus orientation sessions in May and was told that prospective students might hear back end of July or August, but given the deadline push it seems unlikely now. I reached out to SMU but received a very non-committal and vague feedback on what to expect... basically "hurry up and wait" sort of response.
Looking forward to hearing from others who are applying to this cohort - please chime in!
After the two emails, I logged into the admitted student portal and had a checklist that said I was accepted to the ABSN Spring 2026 San Mateo cohort. So excited!

@julzyp I think they mean they had been accepted for an started their Fall '25 program this week. The SMU Fall '25 semester started Sept 2.
