Hello!

I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

Hope you are all staying safe during this crazy time!

I already began at another program back in August and plan to continue in the program I'm in, so it'll open another spot at the Sac Campus. For those of you asking about stats and GPA. At the time of my application I had an overall GPA of 3.6, all A's and B's in prerequisites! Hopefully that helps, and its proof that if you have a few B's sprinkled in you can still receive an acceptance!! Highly recommend you apply again if you didn't get in this time around!

You're welcome! To be honest not a whole lot, I volunteered for a year in the ER through Dignity Health. I had zero pervious work history in the medical field.

 It was also my second time applying, so that's why I encourage anyone to reapply if they didn't get in this time.

Congrats to everyone! I just spoke with Katherine..she said all sac decisions will be made by the end of the week an they send them out in waves.(not sure why) she also said San Mateo will know in 5-7 days ?

congratulations to all those who have been accepted!! 

Did anyone that’s been accepted to Sacramento campus (so far) list it as a second preferred location?

I called admissions and was basically told the opposite. Whoever I spoke with seemed pretty annoyed LOL. I’ve spoken with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) before and she’s amazing, so I’m gonna go with what she said??

I asked if acceptances are sent out all at once. She said yes. Then I asked if there would be denial emails as well and she said yes. Honestly, I was devastated but I’m not sure she was even a part of the admissions department. I would trust what (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) has to say.

also I think all the sac people gave SM ppl a heart attack hahaah!

theres also the waitlist that needs to be sent out too...yea im sure they were just annoyed LOL im sure its a busy time for them.
