Hello!

I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

Hope you are all staying safe during this crazy time!

What a small world! I graduated last Summer. I am so grateful for SFSU's health ED program, I truly will never forget all that I learned and practiced!

I'm planning on submitting my application this week! I'm just waiting on my LOR's to come in. Asked them months ago and they've just been procrastinating LOL

I'm also planning on applying to CSUN and possibly a bunch of out of state schools.

I'm super nervous as well!

I was told three months after the deadline, but while going through other forums from past cohorts it was a bit longer than that.

I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for the ABSN program Fall 2020 date at San Mateo and he said late Sept or Oct??? Is it that late???

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hi! I just recently moved back to Sacramento from the Bay Area in hopes I get into this program. I see that other terms didn’t hear back for a few months. My application was accepted, so apparently I did the transcript entry correctly. Good news LOL. This is definitely nerve wracking...

I too have applied for the January 2021 intake. Any idea if there will be changes to start date or curriculum because of the pandemic?

I just got an email that they've completed the preliminary review of my application. Has anyone else got an email? What does it mean? Is my first time applying and I got a mini heart attack when I got the email. LOL

No, not yet, I have been dying for an update. Hopefully, I hear something back by the end of the week, the only notification I have gotten is that nursing CAS has verified my transcripts ?

Hi Kayla,

Did you at least get the email from SMU that they received your application?If you haven't, you should check your spam folder and I bet you will receive an email about the preliminary review.

Yeah, I got the email that they received my application. So I probably will get an email about preliminary review soon. Are you from northern CA applying or no?
