Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2024

Hi everyone! I'm starting this discussion for those who applied for SMU ABSN program for the Fall 2024 cohort! I was curious if anyone has received updates/email yet. I personally applied to the Sacramento program. Good luck everyone! I

Pretty sure the portal is for all campuses. It's technically called the admitted students portal.

Yeah that's what I did, but I heard it doesn't work for everyone

I'm thinking it only works when you've been offered admission.

I signed up even before I got admitted. I found the link on the other forum for Samuel Merritt.

I tried it and it just said to not access unless invited and I believe it said the same thing for someone else too. so I guess we just have to wait

Yeah I think it said the same to me and I just proceeded any way with trying to make the account LOL.

Do you know if those who got access before getting an acceptance notification actually get accepted?  And those who were denied access not get accepted? Based on the posts where you found the link?

I got denied from the ABSN Summer start in Oakland and still got access. I don't think it matters tbh it's just luck on whether it lets you sign up. The only thing I can say is the portal doesn't show when you get denied, it just shows the results of when you are under review, accepted or waitlisted. At least in my experience, I received the denial letter but on the portal it says still under review. But the portal also states that it's not accurate.

Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it.  I'm sorry that you were not admitted.  Do they mention why they denied a person so we will know how to improve your chances on the next round?

No they don't provide any information like that
