  1. Hi I was on the waitlist at 6 and then got accepted. My undergrad GPA was a 2.8 and I failed anatomy & physiology 2x and Microbiology 1x but then I retook them and got an A and B. I volunteer at my local hospital, was a pharmacy tech for 5 years, and currently work in community mental health providing case management resources. I was very hesitant on applying due to my GPA however in the application I got to explain myself a little bit and in the interview I got to explain myself more and show my readiness. I wish you the best of luck!!
  2. I started the thread and Unfortunately I don't know the difference either. I've said in the past comments that the portal isn't as accurate as a letter. I was denied from the Oakland Summer ABSN and on the portal it still says "Congratulations your application is under review". As of right now, my application portal also says it for the Sac program. Even when you log into the portal it says the information given is not accurate.
  3. Did you already receive an acceptance letter?
  4. I think it may be an error in the system because I accepted to the CM program and mine says that and then I also have it saying congratulations you are admitted. I was also on the waitlist before being admitted and my portal always said "you are currently on the waitlist " And then I also applied to the Summer start ABSN program and got denied and that one says "congratulations your application is under review " even I already received the denial letter.
  5. I know it's so competitive, but I'm thankful I found a spot into nursing school somehow. I've been denied from multiple schools for the last 3 years. I think what really helped me get into Samuel Merritt ELMSN program is because they interviewed me and I got to explain more about myself and explain what happened for me to repeat those classes. Nursing school is so competitive it's not fair!! I wish you the best of luck!!
  6. Yes I actually don't have the best stats. But I got into the ELMSN program and it's a competitive as well so I take that as a win considering I've been denied to other programs and have also been denied to SMU ABSN program 2x I'm just waiting to hear back for fall 2024 program. But my stats were 3.0 in science pre reqs, I retook anatomy & physiology 2x and my overall GPA was a 3.3. I'm currently taking pathophysiology so far I have an A
  7. No they don't provide any information like that
  8. I got denied from the ABSN Summer start in Oakland and still got access. I don't think it matters tbh it's just luck on whether it lets you sign up. The only thing I can say is the portal doesn't show when you get denied, it just shows the results of when you are under review, accepted or waitlisted. At least in my experience, I received the denial letter but on the portal it says still under review. But the portal also states that it's not accurate.
  9. Yeah I think it said the same to me and I just proceeded any way with trying to make the account LOL.
  10. I signed up even before I got admitted. I found the link on the other forum for Samuel Merritt.
  11. Yeah that's what I did, but I heard it doesn't work for everyone
  12. Thank you! I forgot to mention, this one is for the one in Oakland.
  13. My portal just updated and it says I'm no longer on the waitlist for the ELMSN-CM program and that I'm admitted! Just waiting to get the official email.
