Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.
Hi everyone! Thank you to whoever started the thread! I also applied to the ABSN Fall 2017 San Mateo Cohort & I am still waiting to receive a confirmation email from SMU. However, I did receive the nursing CAS confirmation email. I have a feeling these are going to be longest weeks ever!
Hi everyone! Just an update that I received a confirmation email from SMU! I agree- this waiting process makes everyday go by so slowly. Even though SMU is one of the most expensive ABSN programs out there, I would just love to get into a nursing school and I feel like SMU is really aligned with my values.
