Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.

@kdtish I am! No word yet. You?

Same! @runner117

@runner117 and @Kdtish I'm also still waiting for an email :/

My first choice was Sacramento and San Mateo second. Crossing my fingers we all receive some good news soon!

Hi everyone! Thank you to whoever started the thread! I also applied to the ABSN Fall 2017 San Mateo Cohort & I am still waiting to receive a confirmation email from SMU. However, I did receive the nursing CAS confirmation email. I have a feeling these are going to be longest weeks ever!

Hello! I received my confirmation from SMU that they received my application on the 10th

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

Hi everyone! Just an update that I received a confirmation email from SMU! I agree- this waiting process makes everyday go by so slowly. Even though SMU is one of the most expensive ABSN programs out there, I would just love to get into a nursing school and I feel like SMU is really aligned with my values.

thread moved to where?

Hey guys - I applied for San Mateo as my first choice, but would gladly move to Sacramento! I heard from SMU on the 11th that they had received my application. Best of luck to all of us!!

Is anyone else still waiting for the SMU confirmation email?

@kdtish.. I am. What about you? When did you submit your app?
