Hi Tiffany,
I spoke to -------------------------, as I'm having an extremely difficult time getting into a Micro class. She stated it needs to be completed in the Summer. I'm not sure what to do right now, as my current school won't allow me to take Physio and Micro during the Summer.
Have you looked into DVC and the classes they offer there? What about community colleges out of state that offer online classes ? I know it would be more expensive tho ? just throwing it out there
Does anyone know how many students are usually accepted for Spring?

Hi Saeed,
Thank you for your reply. I'm enrolled in Physio and on the waitlist for Micro. There was only one class offered for Micro during Summer session, which is a time conflict for all Physio classes. I reached out to the Physio teacher and he stated his Zoom meetings would be in the evenings, which is hours after the Micro class. However, my Micro teacher refuses to sign the overlapping course form and the Dean has denied my request as well. I emailed -------------------------- about the Micro class and she said if I take it in the Fall, I would be at disadvantage because I will be missing one of the science courses.

Hi Phoebe,
Is DVC, Diablo Valley College? I've looked at a few schools out of state, however some of them require you to be enrolled in the school to look at how many students are on the waitlist for specific courses.
I believe the acceptance is about 150 students.

Yes, Diablo valley college, have you looked into it ? I took anatomy there last year during the Summer and the class was half empty
You know what I’m worried about...I Still have to take like 5 more prerequisites, they aren’t science classes, it’s history, philosophy and stuff like that. I’m taking 3 of them in the Summer, and have two more for the fall. I’m a little worried that it’s gonna affect my my application...I’m hoping that I’ll be fine since I’ll be able to update my grades on the ncas after my Summer semester of over.
I told ------------------------ about it, and she said it’s not ideal but it’ll do. I’m really hoping it’s not gonna put me at disadvantage...

Hi Arianna,
Have you looked into Skyline Community College? I'm not sure if there are still open spots for Micro, but a friend I know is taking it over the Summer there.
I also know you are super worried, but I really think you will be okay if you end up taking Micro in the Fall. That is my situation right now too! Of course, we will be at a disadvantage, but it's definitely not impossible. I'm hoping that my other good grades can show them that I am capable of getting A's for the courses in progress. They also have our essays and experience to take into account as well!

Thanks, Phoebe. I'm applying to the BSN. I saw you have a lot of healthcare experience and are bilingual. That's amazing! I'm sure you'll do well.

For those of you who re-applied - did you re-write your personal statement? I haven't gotten the admission decisions from my previous application yet. I feel my previous personal statement was pretty well-written.

What’s up everyone!
For those of you who have submitted your application, do you know when we should be notified about admission? I’ve been searching the website and cannot find the answer anywhere.Good news though, my ncas application got verified very quickly after submitting my official transcripts. So make sure you get those things in so you can submit your class grades for Summer!
Best of luck to you all! ?

Personally, when I applied for USF, I applied twice and rewrote my personal statement. It weighs heavily on your application so it means a ton to redo it if you didn’t get in the first time. Otherwise, it kinda looks like your shooting your shot with a recycled application. Typically, admissions committees are looking to see improvements on your applications in all areas.

Hello!
I believe we will hear back during October? Based on previous threads I read and a friend of mine who got in the last Spring cycle, the majority of people heard back in October!
I'm personally super nervous, but good luck to us all! ?

I looked into DVC after you suggested me to and all classes are full.
You don't have to worry about taking those courses in the Fall. It's just science they prefer us to complete by then.
I found the Micro course at Berkeley extension, however it's about $2,100. The lecture part of it would be completed by the end of Summer, but the lab part will be completed by December. So that's pretty much the same as taking it at a community college in the Fall.
