This announcement is still on the SMU CM page:

"Applications are being accepted for ELMSN-Case Management for fall 2011.

The TEAS must be taken and the score must be available when you submit your application and all other prerequisites must be completed by the end of summer. Applications will be considered on a space available basis and will continue to be processed until the class is full and a waitlist has been established."

I guess that's good for us who haven't heard back yet...I hope!

I did an email and a VM follow up with SMU admissions yesterday afternoon, and I'm making it the last note since interviews are next Monday. Any more calls / notes, and I'm getting into "really pesky" territory.

Lele07 -- Have you called / emailed admissions and if so, have you heard anything yet?

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!! :)

Well....if they are indeed still taking applications, those apps still need review and verification, so I wouldn't lose hope and assume they won't schedule more interviews.

Hey all!

Hi kzimmermann! fancy seeing you here!

So I actually spoke with Anne Seed the Director of Admissions today. I guess they were looking over my application and momentarily thought that I was applying for the summer ABSN program and notified me by email that I was denied because my interpersonal comm pre-req isn't satisfied by the comm class that I already took! -__- But she later realized the mistake she made and ended up calling me. We talked about my goals and my options and etc...long story short she told me that I should change my app from the FNP track to the CM track. She said that the CM track has started reviewing the applications and had interviews, but they are not as far along as the FNP track is. So, don't worry about not hearing anything from them yet! It's going, just not as far along as the FNP process is.

It also turns out...they miscalculated my science GPA! She made a comment about it being low (which sounded weird to me) so I asked her what my science GPA was..and she said it was a 2.7...SO NOT RIGHT!! Which is probably one of the reasons I didn't hear anything about FNP interviews!! (which i guess turned out for the better...)

Hey Stifffunny!

I actually was thinking about you yesterday: I hadn't seen you post on the FNP thread for a long time and thought, "I wonder if she ever got an interview..."

Thanks SO MUCH for the FYI. I'm sorry you had to experience the administrative errors, but I'm really glad everything got sorted out.

I will definitely "keep hope alive." :) Keep us posted as things progress for you!

No, I still haven't heard anything. =/ I'm almost starting to lose hope after going on all these forums. I feel like I'm getting more anxiety reading things from everyone, especially how they overlooked so many things on stiffuny's application. I went to so many schools and hope that doesn't happen to me!

Anyways, I did what you did too and emailed nursingcas to see if they forwarded my app and they did respond fast & said that it was sent February 18. I guess all hope is not lost, but this waiting game is painful! I may e-mail the Dir. of Admissions also today just to see where I am in the process.

Hang in there Lele07 -- don't lose hope! If all else fails, that is a good reason for contacting: verifying if all your information came over and was assessed correctly.

I just got off the phone with the Case Manager for my brother. When she asked "how are you?", I replied, "Aside from being obsessed with finding out what's going on with Samuel Merritt's CM on Allnurses.com, I'm doing fine."

Still haven't heard anything on my end, but since it sounds like they're slowly progressing, I'm sure we'll get contacted sometime soon!

I had confirmation today from SMU that they are definitely still in the app review process. I would think more interviews will be scheduled beyond next Monday.
