Samuel Merritt Fall 2018 ABSN Program

Hey everyone,

I know this is early, but the application period for the fall Sacramento and San Mateo cohort will soon be here! This might be the first thread. Anyway, application deadline isn't until April, but if people could post their past and current GPA's and their HESI test scores so I can get idea of what the pool of applicants is like. It is so hard to tell what a good application is for every application period.

My last 60 units GPA 3.9

Science GPA 3.1 (Maybe 3.5 if I can submit my new chemistry class that ends May 4th -- hopefully with a grade A in May).

HESI scores -- taking in February and in March -- if I have to retake it.

Working as an EMT for 7 months.

No volunteer experience.

Hey everyone, I received an email from Samuel Merritt today saying that the deadline was extended until april 15 for the fall ABSN application. I wonder if that means they didn't have a lot of applicants? Hopefully it doesn't delay when we hear back from them...

hi! i didnt get an email about that! But .. i did receive an email from the office of admissions saying that they received my application and will begin reviewing shortly on 4/4ish..

I got the same email that vcamera received and it made me even more nervous. I hate to think someone could apply "late" and get in over me who applied early March.

I got that email as well around April 3 or something, probably the same day as you!

I haven't received anything from them since submitting my application March 17th (i.e. no email about the deadline extension or that my application was received). I wonder why...now I'm really nervous!

I actually checked on other forums---Fall ABSN 2017 cohort, their deadline was extended to May 1st, but that didnt slow down admission results as they were still released May 25th : ) Hopefully that gives us some hope!

I didn't receive anything either. Even checked my spam folder. Wonder how it was selected who received it? Cuz my application is definitely, successfully turned in. I doubled checked that!

Moojoo, did the Fall 2017 ABSN cohort have an april 1st deadline at first as well? That gives me such hope to hear by May 25th! My birthday is may 31st so that would be a very awesome, or very terrible, early birthday present haha

I also applied for the fall ABSN for the San Mateo campus. I didn't receive an email about extending the deadline but I got the initial email that they received my application. Good luck everyone!

OK I stand corrected-- there was an email from them in my spam folder March 21 saying they'd received my application.
