Samuel Merritt ELMSN, FNP program, Fall 2016 Oakland

I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2016 ELMSN, FNP program. I recently applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN, FNP program in Oakland, CA. Has any one else applied? Any graduates have any feedback? I'm really excited about Samuel Merritt's Family Nurse Practitioner program. I'd really like to pursue primary and mental health. With that, I think a focus on FNP first would help.

Yeah I definitely hear you on leaving early and arriving early. I commute from San Lorenzo to Palo Alto daily, and it sure is a daily time-consuming battle. I'm sticking around San Diego only for the interview dates and plan on coming back to the Bay the following Saturday. I'm really excited for that interview event, yet I'm still nervous about being able to pay for any of these private school programs... Enjoy your extended stay out there though :)! I definitely don't think it's worth rushing back for the Feb 22nd CM interviews. The main reason why I'm eager to obtain admission notifications sooner rather than later is because the one program I currently received acceptance for requires a hefty $500 deposit by March 15 to secure my spot. Although I've been blessed thus far to receive interview invitations to my top choices, I can't bank on getting accepted to any of them, so my goal is to find out as early as possible to give myself time to make such a life-changing decision.

I know how you feel, my deposit is $1000 for Boston. But I can't complain too much about deposits because many of my friends and co-workers are dentists and pharmacist and they paid on average $2500 for their deposits when they were in school. lol

Hi everyone! I got a call today as well for an interview today around 12pm PST. I have my interview the 17th at 2pm! I'm beyond excited, I still can't even believe it. Can't wait to see you guys there!

I recently saw the e-mail A********* sent out, and it looks like you both were on it (recognized the username part of your emails). Looking forward to meeting you both tomorrow! I'm super nervous especially since it's a group interview.
