Hello,
I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2016 ELMSN, FNP program. I recently applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN, FNP program in Oakland, CA. Has any one else applied? Any graduates have any feedback? I'm really excited about Samuel Merritt's Family Nurse Practitioner program. I'd really like to pursue primary and mental health. With that, I think a focus on FNP first would help.
ajk13- I'm interviewing on Wednesday and have not received any emails either. I tried calling today but got voicemail so I sent an email to admissions. Will update when I get a response.
ajk13 that's exactly what happened to me, but patience is a virtue and we just need to sit tight, as they are probably extremely busy.
Has anyone received the email confirmation regarding information about the interview? The person I spoke on the phone with said that I would receive an email on Monday but still haven't received anything. I only know the time and day, but no location or any other info. She did tell me it would be at the Oakland campus which I assumed. If I don't receive an email today, I will definitely be calling tomorrow since my interview is in Thursday.
@ajk13 I'm in the same boat--no email confirmation yet and interview on Thursday. Let us know if you hear back! Are you interviewing at 3 or 5:30?
Hey everyone! How'd interviews go?
FYI for those who also applied to the CM program, I received an interview invite today!
Did anyone else receive CM interview invites? Right now there are four interview dates/times. Feb 22 Morning or Afternoon and Feb 29 Morning or Afternoon.
The CM interview will consist of 3 parts: a group interview, an individual interview, and a brief writing component.
I got that email too! I think I will go on the 29th in the afternoon. 9am is too early for me, it would mean I have to wake up at 6:30 in the morning..
I ended up choosing the 22nd afternoon as choice #1 and 22nd morning as choice #2 because I saw that last year the candidates who did the first interview date received admission notification only a few days after their interview, whereas others received notification second week of march. But yea... 9 AM is rough especially with traffic. What area are you coming from?
I'm coming from San Jose. If the interview starts at 9, I would want to be there by 8, which means I would have to leave the house by 7...
I'm also planning on spending the weekend in San Diego after USD's event.
I don't think it matters which day you interviewed and it should not influence your application status. Knowing a few weeks later doesn't bother me, it only matters whether I get accepted or not.
