Samuel Merritt ELMSN FNP FALL 2020 Oakland

Hello fellow applicants, alumni, and SMU associates,

Can anyone provide insight into the application timeline for SMU's ELMSN-FNP program intended to start Fall 2020 (Oakland cohort)? The deadline to submit applications through NursingCAS was December 1, 2019.

-When should we expect correspondence to interview or for denial?

-Are interviews 1:1 or mixed, or both?

-When do final acceptances usually go out?

it is a blessed day y'all because I just got accepted as well!! Anne called me and said that there should be emails being sent out by the end of this week with decisions so don't lose faith!

We just had our (5 of us) interviews Monday, and they said they will make decisions today and send out notice by the end of the week. Good luck, everyone! And congrats to those who have been accepted!

Don't give up, even if you're on the waitlist. The two interviewers said that usually spots 1-10 get into the program.

Congrats to everyone who got in! I’ve sadly been waitlisted (18/31). Does anyone know if I even stand a chance in getting in at this point?

Well.. I’m at 23/31. And I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting in. The math doesn’t really add up to be honest. Half the people who got accepted would have to decline and then some people on the waitlist would also have to decline. They only have 24 slots per cohort.
